- Walk for Miles along the beach and visit new Turner Art Centre NightsAway88
- go to Broadstairs or Ramsgate. Margate is in decline and not great, which is sad as it was my childhood home. But there are lovely beaches around. Axle_Young
- go to westwood cross shopping center theres a big casino, mecca bingo, nandos, chiquitos, ask restaurant, 7 screen cinema, and tons of shops mon3y1
- make an effort to find the traditional pubs, and more imaginative restaurant, like the indian princess, and a good place to stay. schnoozeuk
- Go and visit the Westwood Cross shopping mall,about 5 mins drive from the sea front leesharp
- check out the old town for cafes, shops, RG Scotts for a rummage and The Old Laundry School for furniture sarahgautier
- Don't have any kids. (There's nothing for them there unless it's sunny) paintit4me
