Impeccably restored village houses in an unspoilt setting with stunning views. A few kilometres inland from the coast at Kalives, the tiny hamlet of Maheri enjoys a spectacular setting on the side of a craggy hill, affording wonderful views over unspoilt countryside. And the locals appear determined that the place should remain unspoilt, for they recently declared the village a conservation area where the restoration of old dwellings is encouraged and any new development strictly prohibited.
