Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands and also the most easterly, located just under 80 miles off the coast of Africa. The climate is very warm and dry and like the other Canary Islands it makes an ideal year round holiday destination.

Most of the island's popular resorts are situated in the south-east. Puerto del Carmen is where the nightlife is most concentrated attracting the younger crowds, with Playa Blanca being a quieter resort with gentle sloping beaches favoured by families. Costa Teguise offers a stylish golf course and numerous watersports for those looking for a more active holiday.

Much of the island's landscape has been created by volcanic activity which means there are many natural sights to see including the famous Atlantida tunnel which, at over 4 miles long, is the longest volcanic tunnel in the world.

All flights to the island arrive at Lanzarote Airport, also known as Arrecife.
