A private & beautifully converted olive press near one of Corsica's prettiest villages. In days of old, ripe olives were brought down on muleback along a centuries-old track, across a beautiful Genoese bridge spanning a stream to arrive at the Suzzoni's olive press. The current Suzzonis restored the mill and created a lovely garden, with the Genoese bridge and a beautifully designed swimming pool in pride of place.
An extremely tasteful renovation of a former olive press nestling below the picturesque hillside village of Lama. This handsome stone-built olive mill is believed to have Genoese origins and to date back at least to the 17th century. In use until the early 1970s, the presses are still in perfect working order and form highly original features in the sitting room. The vaulted store room next to the sitting room has been glassed in at either end to form an elegant dining room with a lovely view to the pool.
