Holiday Watchdog: Laganas Reviews
Laganas is known for having the best beach on the Island. Only 5km South West of the airport and 8km from Zante Town, this lively resort appeals to young people looking for nightlife and partying and also families with older children. The gently sloping golden sand beach stretches out for over 5 miles and watersports are available, though motorised watersports are restricted due to turtles nesting in the bay. In the resort centre there are a great number of tavernas, bars, snack bars and restaurants, not to mention late night pubs and a handful of discos too. Horse riding and boat trips are available during the day, although the beach is Laganas’ main attraction. At night the resort centre comes alive and is not recommended for those wanting a quiet or peaceful break. |
