Beach
- Go to the north of the island and see the lovely bays such as Bottle Beach. BackpackerDevon
- Snorkel or dive in one of the north-western beaches. daniellm
- Go on a boat trip to bottle beach and go to the fisherman's restaurant emermm
- have breakfast the the worlds end cafe: best coffee in thailand ISMLondon
- visit beaches other than Haad Rin (great for nightlife but not so pretty). Ban Tai is beautiful! shuggie27

- for the ladies, thong sala shopping is better value than had rin. also the inner phangan jungle is amazing. a trip up the tallest mountain is great. oldishbackpacker
- eat at Thong sala markets, go to the back shop with the pine chairs...and also get the mushy shakes at the FMP..... Pridmore
- make sure you go on the low season, its quiter and nicer, you may get a few rain, but with a plce like sunset cove, you wouldnt mind a cozy afternoon susayomar
- Go at the right season as the weather its not so good and do your research. Also its the best seafood i have ever tasted. csi1
