For those that don’t like noise and night time entertainment, holidays in Kavos are probably not for you. Once a sleepy little Greek coastal village, Kavos is now Corfu’s major party hotspot and is filled with sprawling hotels, clubs, bars and excited partygoers. While the beach is not the best on the island, few people come to Kavos to relax in the sun. Package holidays in Kavos are aimed solely at young clubbers, so families and those wanting a more relaxed holiday are best staying in Aghios Petros, a mile or so to the north.

One word can be used to describe Kavos at night: loud. Clubs and bars along the main strip pump out music at unbelievable decibels, so getting an early night is never an option. Summer is usually when the crowds hit their peak, as thousands of new clubbers arrive daily, but Kavos never gets quiet and package holiday deals are available throughout most of the year. Besides the clubs, there are plenty of places to eat and drink, and to tempt you in it is fairly common to be offered free drinks. However, the measures tend to be large, which can often catch out the unsuspecting.

Clubbing is what Kavos is all about and some of the most notable clubs include Limelight, The Venue and Future-Atlantis. If you want a change from garage and R&B, the classic rock bar Rollin Stone is particularly popular. There are the usual watersports happening on the beach during the day, but holidays in Kavos don’t offer much for the sightseer or culture lover. Besides the beach, bars and clubs, there is very little else to do, but you can always get a bus to Corfu town if you want to do some shopping, or you could head to the nearby aqua park.
