Food & Drink
- visit the lake. And the Garden Cafe next to it. Excellent food and probably the cheapest you'll ever pay for it in Sri Lanka! pianodog3
- enjoy the great restaurants and shopping but be careful of anyone in tourism or anyone who approaches you (including monks!). They want your money! LailaAustralia
- see a kandyian dancing show, shop, go out (one of the few place that has some nightlife in sri lanka) iceland_poppy
- visit the temple of tooth and walk along the lake. Nothing much else to do. Oh and nightlife is generally very quiet!!! Kohsamui_9
- See the temple of the tooth and wsnder around the markets & shops. Take the train to get there/away - the views are stunning. The_Superape
- Visit the Batik facory on hill above Kandy. See Kandy market...quite an experience and lovely spices! roadrunner14
- Ware good walking shoes. Be prepared to wait to get into places of interest and take socks in case asked to remove shoes. Can be very hot on soles. CorkeyWilson
