Jamaica Holidays
An idyllic beach in Jamaica
Jamaica is the third largest Caribbean island and is located roughly 90 miles off the south coast of Cuba.
Typical of Caribbean islands, Jamaica has a coastline of white sandy beaches overlooking a turquoise sea. Travel to the islands interior and you will find lush green rainforests, mountain ranges, rivers and waterfalls. The most popular and largest resorts on the island are Montego Bay and Ocho Rios in the north offering all inclusive hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Negril on the west coast offers a more laid back holiday environment without the high rise hotels.
With its tropical climate, Jamaica experiences a year round average temperature that sits in the mid 20s with very little variation. With the wet season running from May until October, which also incorporates the hurricane season, the tendency is for visitor numbers to increase during the dry season between December and April.
International flights to Jamaica arrive at either Norman Manly International Airport in Kingston or Sangster International in Montego Bay.
