Beach
- visit Epehesus and their Zoo, take a ride on the horse carriage along the beach saraharbab
- Visit the outskirts of the city where you will fine many archeological sites as well as amazing beaches. Nothing much inside the city. Cigarfreak
- There isn't much to see in Izmir itself. we used it as a launching pad for our Ephesus tour. That said, there are some great restaurants on the water crnky_asian_man
- Walk on Kordon, visit Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kemeralti Bazar, try the local food HellasAriadni
- check out the nightlife around cafe baryom...very lively nikmumbai
- Shop around for prices when eating/drinking as places often next door to each other will have varying prices. ASO82
- See the street behind the Swissotel. Full of resturants and shopping stalls, but the palms trees and pavements were lit up. OscardogAustralia
- Ismir is probably fine as far as a city is concerned, the waterfront we heard was nice but we had 3 days of winter rain. robinleerose
