- Visit the East Coast - Dunrobin Castle (Stunning), Dornoch (Beautiful Village/Beach, Fortrose (Dolphins), Forget Urqhuart Castle! AndreaTyrrell
- Visit Rosemarkie, walk the beach and look for dolphins at Channonry Point, then have a drink and a meal at Andersons in Fortrose. lis47
- Go to the Castle Tavern - a great pub, very good food and it has real ale. For a good restauarant, Cafe1 just down the hill is very good. Roger82

- miss out the main shopping area - it's a bit dingy. Instead, stick to the River where there are gorgeous shops/restaurants & bars. Sallyandmartyn
- Spoil yourself & stay at the Trafford Bank Guest House, walk to the the foot bridge, visit Victorian market, The Byre & eat at Bella Italia. TorontoCheryl
- Go on a hiking tour in the Scottish highland. But be aware about weather. Right clothes is everything! Polly75Stockholm
- pop into the shopping centre if its raining - it's fab! Also take a walk along the riverside in the evening, it's lovely SamLeicester
