Greece Holidays
The Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
Greece is situated in Southern Europe and shares its northern and eastern borders with four other countries. On its south coast is the Mediterranean Sea, the west coast faces the Ionian Sea and the Aegean Sea lies to the east. Along its extensive coastline are over one thousand islands making up island groups such as the Cyclades, the Ionian and the Dodecanese islands.
Millions of tourists travel to the Greek islands each year to enjoy the Mediterranean weather, spectacular beaches and Greek hospitality. Each island has its own unique character and charm, as well as offering a different holiday experience suited to each traveller. From the vibrant nightlife of Mykonos to the stunning scenery of Santorini there is plenty to see and do. Away from the islands, mainland Greece offers a wealth of historical sites and museums filled with archaeological treasures, as well as beautiful scenery and beaches to rival those found on the Greek Islands.
Greece’s climate is largely Mediterranean in character with hot summers and mild wet winters.
