Holiday Watchdog: Estepona Reviews

Estepona is the most westerly resort on the Costa del Sol and is approximately 75km from Malaga airport. This is a quiet and relaxed resort which used to be a fishing village, and is suited to families or couples looking for a resort which is more typically Andalucian than its neighbours.
There is a good range of accommodation, including a handful of 5* spa resorts. Shopping is good with small local shops selling mainly leather and ceramics. Restaurants and tapas bars mainly serve seafood, although there are a couple that serve an international menu too.
The main beach in Estepona is wide and sandy although can be pebbly in places. In high season watersports such as jet-skiing and parasailing are available. The beach is backed by a promenade which is lined with souvenir shops and eateries.
Nightlife is limited to a couple of bars as this is a quiet resort. During the day most holidaymakers explore the old town, local museums, and the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park. There are also frequent transport links by bus to Marbella, malag, Fuengirola and Torremolinos. | Holiday Reviews > Med Beach Resorts > Spain
