Travellers' top tips for El Arenal
Beach
- take the red train, it takes you from one end of the beach to the other.You can hop on and of as you like seeing all shops etc that are available. flashcat1
- take a bus to Palma (Mallorca capital). It is very nice town. If you want spend more time away from beach, rent a car and do island sightseeing TiborBA
- Avoid the Saga Hotel. Go to the bars in Bierstrasse some bars have your own pumps at your table, serve yourself and the beer is metered. kieron_hogg
- Go to the restaurant Las Sirenas right on the harbor... we went late at night and enjoyed wonderful (relatively cheap!) food and wine! MegEC
- You are looking for booze and night life and prepared for mainly German or Dutch holiday makers mostly under 30 years old. GeewhizzUk
- visit sineu market on wednesday morning for a proper traditional market. get the train from palma for 3.40 eauros return. jsulley
- Try the weekly market on a wednesday ballabbott
