- Go to the beach to just outside the old town, hire a chair and umberalla. Yes, not cheap, but the best people watching one can hope for!! foodymoody
- visit St. Jacobs beach - it is quite far from the center and you have to pay quite enough, but it is the most beautiful beach in Dubrovnik. Rankankan
- Take the cable car trip, there is a nice restaurant at the top where you can take in the sites and have a cocktail. JRey1974

- Tour the wall of the Old Town -- but do it early before it gets too hot! Try as much of the wine as you can. Check out the war museum on the cable c Sean_and_Kate
- Try to avoid the old city when there are cruise ships in.It can be very hot on the city walls so an early morning or late afternoon is best. coromandel02
