Cuba Holidays

Cuba is an island nation in the Caribbean, located 90 miles off the coast of Florida. After the revolution of 1959 most tourism on the island was enjoyed by Cubans only, but since the 1990s, when the country began to promote foreign tourism, it has slowly grown in popularity.
The capital, Havana, is a city full of colonial architecture offering a buzzing nightlife. Varadero is a beach lover’s paradise with numerous watersports on offer and plenty of restaurants, bars and nightclubs to enjoy. Those in search of a more laid back holiday will be more than happy with Holguin which offers offer 12 miles of beaches and a coral reef for some of the best diving experiences on the island.
Like most of the Caribbean islands Cuba has two quite distinct seasons, the rainy season running between May and October and the dry season between November and April. With temperatures in summer typically exceeding 30°C many visitors find the cooler weather of the rainy season more preferable. One thing to keep in mind is that during the months of September and October the island is prone to hurricanes.
Most flights to Cuba land at the Jose Marti International Airport near the capital, Havana.
