Croatia Holidays
The Croatian coastline is peppered with over a thousand islands.
Croatia is bordered by five other European countries and its west coast faces out onto the Adriatic Sea.
Croatia’s biggest pull for tourists is its coastline which has plenty of amazing beaches and over a thousand islands dotted along it. With most of these islands within close proximity of each other it is easy for visitors to travel from one island to the next by ferry. Many of the smaller islands are uninhabited, but larger ones like Korcula, Brac and Hvar have towns and villages. Popular resorts along the coast are Split and Dubrovnik. Split is the second largest Croatian city, and home to the Diocletian’s Palace which is a world heritage site. Dubrovnik has plenty of historical sites to see as well as an array of beaches spread around the Old Town.
The weather for Croatia varies throughout the country with the coastal regions benefiting from a Mediterranean climate. Therefore, temperatures in the summer months of June to August can reach well into the 30s.
