Costa Calma is primarily a sea, sun and sand destination. It is a small pleasant resort offering a superb expanse of golden sand that shelves gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Costa Calma is a quiet resort suiting families and couples. The resort has a predominantly German feel.
Costa Calma’s main beach, Playa de Sotavento, is a long stretch of soft, pale sand backed by a fairly narrow strip of dunes and lined with sun loungers and parasols. Costa Calma’s calm, clear waters are safe for children. Winds can be bracing at times in Costa Calma, usually more so in the afternoon, hence the resorts reputation as a prime windsurfing destination, with best conditions in the summer. |
