Space for everyone & perfect for peaceful, relaxing holidays. This attractive country house is set in a lovely rural area between the sea and the Castagniccia (with views to both). Long sandy beaches are close by and the little-explored Castagniccia is on the doorstep. It is one of the few destinations where it is feasible to make day trips south, even as far as Bonifacio, north to the Cap and St Florent, or west to Calvi and the Balagne, or Corte and the Restonica Mountains, from the same base. Casa Maria Francesca is about 4km below the Italianate village of Cervione, which clings to the hillside and enjoys glorious views over the sea (even to Italy on the most crystal-clear of days). Cervione boasts a good handful of restaurants and village shops.

A grand village house of character, ideal for large groups of friends. This imposing 'Maison de Maître', built over a century ago in Piève, one of the enchanting little villages of the Nebbiu above St Florent, is a true heart-stealer. High ceilings, tall windows, grand rooms, stone-flagged floors, old beams and an interesting miscellany of period furniture make the interior one of character, but undoubtedly Maison Canioni's irresistible feature is the gorgeous garden and heavenly pool behind and above the house, where masses of flowers tumble over stone terraces and arbors.
