An excellent base for visiting the Alpujarras with stunning views towards the mountains. The ravine of the Poqeira Valley cuts its way down from the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada passing a trio of picturesque villages clinging to its sides. These unique hamlets - Pampareira, Bubión and Capileira - have retained their traditional Moorish-Berber architecture of terraced clusters of two-storey, sugarcube-shaped, whitewashed houses with flat clay roofs and tall round chimney pots.
