The southeastern Spanish resort of Benidorm, nestling on the Mediterranean Sea, is Costa Blanca’s biggest and busiest resort, and perhaps the largest beach resort in Europe. With its mountain backdrop and three miles of white sandy beaches, holidays in Benidorm are highly popular with British and European holidaymakers. While it is a beautiful resort, Benidorm also has a vibrant nightlife and busy shopping area. The shops, pubs and nightspots offer plenty of home comforts and familiarity, while the brilliant weather and stunning scenery makes package holidays in Benidorm some of the best value available.

The beaches are Benidorm’s biggest draw. Two huge white sandy beaches stretch over three miles and are among the cleanest in Europe. The beach area is a hive of activity throughout the day. A carnival atmosphere exists and there are plenty of watersports and entertainment suitable for holidaymakers of all ages. Whether you wish to go scuba diving, jet skiing and parasailing, or just relax under the sun, holidays in Benidorm are ideal. The nightclubs are another reason why package deals to Benidorm are so popular. Most clubs and are bars are situated around the square, and they get extremely busy once the sun goes down.

The prices in the gift shops, supermarkets and weekly open-air markets are very low compared to other resorts, which makes package holiday deals to Benidorm particularly good value for those self-catering. There is no shortage of cheap places to eat and drink either. Many pubs and restaurants are British themed, with lots of old favourites on the menu, as well as Chinese, Indian and popular fast food restaurants. However, if you want traditional Spanish fare you are best going to one of the many tapas bars along the seafront. Away from the resort, some of the best excursions include Guadalest Castle, the Algar waterfall, the safari park in Aitana, and the many beauty spots situated in the mountains. Alicante and Valencia are also close by and are ideal places to go for some serious shopping.
