The resort of Argassi is becoming more and more popular with holidaymakers every year. A bright and lively resort in the South-East of Zante with a good choice of restaurants and traditional Greek tavernas, Argassi is popular with families as well as young couples and singles. The beach is narrow composed of sand a pebbles, rocky in places and watersports are available. There are many bars and tourist shops yet the resort has not lost its character or tradition. Argassi is composed mainly of self-catering apartments and studios and a few mid range hotels. There are a number of mini-markets selling every day items, good selection of restaurants and a couple of boutiques. For children there is a fun castle, reptile house and animal farm. Evening entertainments include weekly Greek nights at hotels, bars of various types and live music bars.
