With continual sunshine, and low rainfall in the summer months, the Algarve is a perfect holiday location at any time of the year. Stretching along Portugal's south coast for more than 90 miles, and with over 100 beaches, it is a very popular destination for both local and foreign tourists.
Resorts such as Praia da Rocha appeal to families looking to avoid the noisy nightlife which is prevalent in the more energised resort of Albufeira. For golf enthusiasts there are over 30 courses available, with some resorts offering golf packages as part of your stay. There are also a number of theme parks and water parks for families to keep their children entertained.
Temperatures during the summer tend to sit around the mid 20s although they have been known to reach well into the 30s.
Faro airport is situated just over 1.5 miles west of the city of Faro.
