Agios Nikolaos lies on the Northeast coast of Crete. This is probably the island's most established tourist resort and is still centred around a working port and busy yachting marina. Agios Nikolaos is not recommended for those wanting a quiet holiday; it has a great nightlife and an abundance of restaurants and bars. There are two beaches which are small with grey sand and pebbles. For those who enjoy shopping, don't miss the weekly local market or busy reosrt centre for boutiques selling leather goods, ceramics and jewellery.

It offers a number of studios for two people, and one-bedroom apartments with a double bed, and a single in the living area which can sleep up to four people, most with a sea view. All rooms have air conditioning. Although there’s a taverna and a supermarket about 4 minutes walk away, car hire would be useful.
