Afandou lies around 20km South of Rhodes Town and 30km South of the airport, on the Eastern coast of Rhodes. The resort is favoured by independent travellers and mostly offers basic hotels and apartments. Afandou is still a very peaceful, traditional area which is slowly being developed. The beach is stony and quite a distance from the village. There is an 18 hole golf course nearby and a few restaurants and bars in the centre, but amenities are rather limited.

Afandou Beach Hotel
The Afandou Beach Hotel is a small, quiet, but friendly hotel, which attracts many repeat cutomers from different nationalities as it is ideally located close to the impressive beach of Afandou. It offers the perfect base for a peaceful holiday and beach lovers will be able to fully appreciate the 3 kilometres of sand, pebbles and crystal clear waters. The Afandou Beach Hotel has beautiful gardens with a childrens play area in the shade of the trees. The Afandou Beach Hotel boasts a lovely pool with a separate shallow pool for the children, it has an outside snack bar which serves refreshing drinks.

Large and spacious each apartment has its own separate, fully equipped kitchen/ living room. Good quality linen and towels are supplied, including beach towels. All apartments have air conditioning and hair dryers. No extra charge for air-con and free airport pickup available.

Argyro Apartments
These comfortable apartments will appeal to those wanting to get away from the usual hustle and bustle of the main resorts. Set in well tended grounds which back on to open countryside, they are located by the main coast road, 1.3 kilometres from the centre of Afandou Village and 1 kilometre from the shingle beach, making car hire beneficial . The Argyro features a fantastic jacuzzi and there is also a mini-market next door.

The very simple Edelweiss Studios and Apartments are set back from the main road in a quiet location. The nearest supermarket is just 200 metres away and the resort of Afandou is 2 kilometres away.
