Best holiday EVER. taxi from villa to town is very cheap. 3-4 euro. everything needed on the strip. shops ,reastraunts, bars and clubs on one side of the road and the beach on the other . we will be going to villa alondra again . my family had a great time . the people where very helpful and friendly . the food was great and cheap. the journey from the airport was about 5 - 10 mins by taxi. the villa was very clean and and the sun shone all day . it was a great family hoilday and very relaxing. i would recomend it to any family looking for the no1 holiday

Absolutely 100% the best villa that me and my wife have stayed in.
The villa knocks spots off of every other villa that we have been to worldwide!!
Will definitely be returning next year.

Have just returned only yesterday. Firstly we were very impressed with the overall presentation ect but on second inspection after the excitement had died down with our 4yr old son we found the cleaning wasn’t up to the high standard we were led to believe.
Stained bed sheets, hair on the floors, chocolate on the curtains and light switches! but worse, two broken tiles on the corner of the patio leading into pool, the dishwasher did not work, the lining in the pool was coming away from the sides, two of the sun chairs were broken and also many of the light bulbs not working.
All of these faults we put to the receptionist at the resort and nothing was fixed! So be warned, my little boy fell twice on the broken tiles.
We never did find a children’s play area on the complex even after two weeks of looking only a seesaw and a set of swings situated on two of the villas front lawns, so we did not use these as we thought it unfair on the residents in them.
Reception also seemed to be opened when they felt like it not when they should have been.
Two places I would not recommend to eat are Lanzis on the main beach front in PDC it is a green restaurant very posh looking claiming to cook Indian and European cuisine we were all very ill, and also the first restaurant on the corner of the harbour we were again struck down ill.
We have been too many different countries in villas and although the weather was mostly warm and very windy, the locals were lovely for the price we paid we think it would have been better spent elsewhere, as we have had cheaper villas with the same extras and high standards that we expected to get at Alondras and didn’t.

Fantastic! These villas are of a standard very hard to match elsewhere and we have travelled to many places, including Florida! Everything you need and more. All the luxuries are there, including the excellent cleaners, who visit every day, the pool man who cleans the pool every day and even the gardener who attends your garden every day.
Prices are not cheap, but, well worth it. Location is perfect and PDC is lovely. This was one of the few holidays we were not looking forward to returning home after 2 weeks.
Will definitely be going back to PDC and will only book these villas.

We stayed at the Alondra Villas and were very happy with the location and accommodation. Although this holiday was one of the most expensive we have ever been on you definitely get what you pay for. The villa and complex were spotless. The cleaners were in every other day and were so thorough.
The villa was more than big enough for us (2 adults and 2 children) so 1 bedroom remained unused but it was lovely having the extra space if needed. We had a swimming pool which had a children's area at one end which our 2 boys loved. There was also a little garden area running around the villa which was safe for them to run around on. The deep end of the pool was 1.6m so we had to ensure one of us was always outside with them. Apart from this the villa was very child friendly.
There were so many little extras which helped during the holiday - clothes airer, iron and ironing board, hairdryer etc. The only complaint we had was the reception was shut on Sundays - the day we arrived and departed. This did make it difficult when we had a problem with our luggage on arrival at the villa and there was no one to assist! However, one of the cleaners spoke broken English and tried to help.
Puerto del Carmen is a lovely resort and we would happily return there. The villas are situated at the top of a hill. The restaurants, shops and bars are a short walk down the hill which did not cause us a problem upon our return (about 10 min walk).
We hired a car for the week which enabled us to travel down to the main front most evenings to eat where we felt the choice was better. Again this would be in walking distance (possibly taking about 30/40 mins) but we did not attempt this with 2 young children. We visited Fire Mountain which was of more interest to us than the kids but we would definitely recommend the camel ride at the entrance to Timanfaya! It certainly is an experience and one that we won't forget in a hurry!
If you have children then visit Rancho Texas Park which is only a 5 minute drive from Puerto (they also run a free bus from various points). It is a lovely place and the Birds of Prey show is out of this world!
Lastly, we also visited Papagayo Beach which is near Playa Blanca. It is a beautiful beach and well worth a a trip. The weather in May was gorgeous - about 26* most days although very windy. Even the locals said it was extremely windy when we were there. You do need the wind with the hot sunshine to cool you down but just remember the sun lotion.
We would love to visit Puerto again and would highly recommend Alondra Villas.

Perfectly located between the busy resort and the stunning port, this villa holiday has to be the best we've had. The brochure failed to do justice to the immaculately clean complex and wealth of facilities available in each villa - a definite home from home.
We were so impressed that we are planning another trip with our 7 week old son, something I would never have considered doing without the amenities and high standard of every aspect of these villas.
To mirror other comments, it is at the top of a hill but taxis are only a few euros and well worth it to be slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy night life.
In all we just can't fault this one!!

This was one of the best Villa holidays I have ever been on. The cleanliness of the villas was second to none. The facilities were fabulous and the complex was so quite.

Not for the infirm unless you have a car - it is about a 10 minute walk down a steep hill to the bars and restaurants but did not cause us a problem. The only drawback for us was that their was no air-conditioning in the bedrooms but there was a large unit in the sitting/dining area. Overall a fabulous holiday and we are hoping to go back in 2006. <br>
