I stayed at liberty in July of this year, and although the hotel was nice, clean and good rooms / maid service etc,
on our 5th day , we had 250 euros stolen from a SAFE in our room .
as with the other reviewers on here,
when we told the man in reception , he was very rude and made out that we had done it , or that we had lost it whilst out on a day trip and that we were trying to blame him.
After the incident , we filed a police report and apparently he launched his own " investigation", one day he even came to the pool area and literally shouted at us " the police are here to see you can you follow me" which was very embarrasing
we were made to feel like WE were in the wrong when it was the hotel,
this put a dampner on our holiday and we would have returned to liberty had this incident not occured!

just back from week at the liberty apartments. apartments are nice enough, on a busy road. down side, heard of a couple of thefts as soon as we arrived. apparently rooms that didn't pay for safety deposit boxes. pancho on reception said it was other customer's getting in to rooms or people were making it up to get insurance money. as if you'd do that, insurance wouldn't pay up anyway if your valubles are not secure. this put me right off and even though we had a safety deposit box i was still wary each time i entered our apartment. i was appalled as his attitude, he was adament it wasn't the hotel staff. quite noisy with people leaving doors open, not good for families with young ones trying to sleep. resort is ok if you're in your twenties or gay. no nice restaurants, just the usual bars serving british food. few karaoke bars. much preferred meloneros few miles away, only 450 euros in taxi and nice restaurants and hotels, more upmarket. wouldn't go back to gran canaria, tenerife has much more entertainment for all ages.

Booked a weeks holiday in the liberty appartments was nice appartments, but was robbed from my room on the second day. Wouldn't recommend staying there at all after that happened there was no sign of a break in which leads me to believe that the thieves are working within the hotel staff. I had 300 Euros stolen, my mobile phone & my bank card taken from my 4th floor room, I reported this immediatly to the hotel and police. The manager was no help at all he accused one of my sisters of taking it which was totally impossible, we then found out that an ederly holidaymaker who was there for two weeks had also had money stolen from her room 800 Euros and when we was discussing this with other holidaymakers the manager got very angry as he said we should have kept the whole thing quite he wasn't interested in investigating the incident at all. Then on our last day someone offered to pay for us to keep our room longer as we wasn't flying out until late and the manager just laughed in our face and said no chance! I have been abroad many times and never experienced anything like this in the past and would have hoped the Hotel could have been more helpful in my unfortunate position. Gran Canaria on the whole was lovely but I would never recommend staying in the Liberty appartments to anyone.

I am absolutley appauled by the treatment i received whilst on my Holiday! I have never been treated with such disrespect. I had my money/bank card and mobile phone stolen from my apartment which only the cleaners had access to. The Apartment receptionist laughed at me and said it must have been one of my siblings that stole from me! And then told me that i was lying to cooberate someone elses story who also had there money stolen. The apartment manager then told all the other guests in the apartment that i was lying and asked me to be quiet about it! I have now had my account completley cleaned out including my overdraft so i am now in £600 worth of debt. I am discusted with the whole situation and will be taking this matter further with a full complaint. Whoever reads this rating please do not go to this apartment!!!

Just returned from playa del ingles liberty appartments had excellent holiday, weather was in the 30's most days, great appartments very clean, excellent pool bar, and all staff very friendly, Playa del ingles not the best place to go with a wheelchair although staff everywhere was willing to help, lots of bars had steps either up or down, would definetly return, all in all i would rate it 10/10. Taxi rides only cost around 2 euros, great karaoke bars,

Fantastic apartments, clean and spacious, fab staff and great pool area. Apts are located next to the main centres and adjacent to many great restuarants and bars. Fantastic flights and great crew from First Choice ! Well done !

these appartment was total fab full kitchen lovely bathroom . pool area very clean and bar service was good .
the appartments are based in the centre so you got access to all shopping centres .
aoverall the place is very clean not much noise and would defo come back to these appartments .

hi we are just back from a two week stay in the libertey app in play del ingles i would highly rrecomend thees app to all they are clean the romms have all you need ,ie , kettle toaster micro cooker coffee mach and all the utensils you will need also the tiolet has a hair dryer ,,great the wife said , a really good shower and clean towels every other day our room over looked the pool which was braw and quiet and when you open up to the balcony every morning the sun beats down on you great the staff and i mean them all very friendly and helpfull . the pool area was a delieght to sit in good sun loungers and brollies the pool and all the surrounding area was washed down every morning so nothing to hurt your feet when padding aruond without sandels also you can get snacks from b fast up to 8 oclock pm all reasonably pricedd and the drink was not to badly priced there as well so all in all a great place to spend a hol plus you are only a 5 min walk from the yumbo centre which is a must to see as it all happens there please dont listen to all the stories about the gays yes sure there are alot of them there but go down and see for yourself what its like my wife and i were amazed and highly entertained in the yumba so take a trip there to see for your self and make your own mind up try to go down at the week end about 9 pm and watch the impomtu show from the guy who runs about with the clowns face on what a hoot not to be missed if you go to del ingles for sure dont take my word if you are there go down and see enjoy
ps and the weather was scorching for thosee two weels as well what a bonus

We just returned from liberty on the 5th of may....after reading reviews before we went we were expecting it to be good and was not dissapointed............try benny hills just down the road ... two tariq;s work ther and are very freindly and helpfull...... the yumbo center is a MUST..........the beach is about a 10 minute walk but well worth the walk .......walk straight down the road to the dunes which look absolutely gorgeous But there is a beach over the dunes and it is a nudist beach so not really good for familys . and was warned not to go at night because the gay community use them lol.......all in all it was a fantastic holiday ..........was our first time to gran canaria but will be returning next year . The liberty appartments we found to be very clean well set out and the pools really clean........ the staff were well mannered and very helpfull. never had any trouble getting sunbeds... cant wait to get out there again next year ....

Hello everyone, five of us stayed at liberty apartments for 10 days, and were extremely impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful with regards to suggesting restaurants and directions. The apartment were very spacious, clean and modern offering great services. The apartments came with room service, which was cleaned more regularly than stated. If anybody is looking for a central location, I would definitely recommend liberty apartments. The accommodation is within walking distance of local nightlife, shops, restaurants and transport links such as buses which are situated round the corner. The beach is also within walking distance. Overall, I recommends the holiday, and would definitely go back again.
