I've stayed at this hotel twice now, the first time I was about 16 and then again for my 22nd birthday.
I love the place; the waiter who served us the first time we went even remembered my name! The atmosphere is very calming and very relaxing.
The first time we stayed was only because we couldn’t get into the hotel further down, but after checking that one out after arriving we were very glad not to have gone there, as it was full of boisterous English people with only English food on the menu.
The menu at the Aqua Hotel will wet anyone's appetite, with dishes for all.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. The swimming pool is a bit cold but then we did go in the cooler season. The fact that the beach is across the road is and added bonus and a beautiful view from the panoramic glass elevators.
The area Pineda is bustling with people enjoying themselves and is lovely to take a walk through of an evening, and the friendly people serving ice-creams just add to the charm.
We are going back to the aqua hotel again this year (I’m now 24) and hope to be able to for many years.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a budget holiday, we flew into Gerona Airport , where it was very easy to get to Pineda De Mar taking the coach direct from the airport costing 8 Euros per person. The hotel is approx 5 mins walk from where the coach drops you off but is very easy to find!
The hotel on first impression seemed very clean and tidy. The receptionists all spoke very good English and were very helpful. The room was a nice size and very clean. We stayed half board in the hotel, breakfast and dinner was excellent, and the food was excellent with a wide selection of food available. The pool is quite small and is very cold as the sun didn’t really hit it until mid afternoon, but as the beach is only a minute away, it’s not a problem. The train station is two minutes walk and there are regular trains into Barcelona and takes an hour for 5.50 Euros return!!!
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We took our 3 kids (2 teens and one aged 11) and it was perfect for us as a family.
Very clean and well maintained and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The food was very good with plenty of choice and we were able to get a table regardless of the time that we turned up.
The hotel is ideally placed directly opposite the beach and there was plenty of room on it even in July.
It is a continental resort and this is reflected in the clientele of the hotel. No English lager louts but a good mix from all nations.
