Aphrodite Villa

Situated right on the gravel shore, the hotel is a couple of miles west of Latchi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and appear to have relatively modern fixtures & fittings. There are no leisure facilities at all, so if you want to relax by the pool then you'll be disappointed, but the 'beach' is surprisingly comfortable to lie on, being deep drifts of clean, fine gravel. Breakfast was OK - no huge selection, but perfectly adequate. Price is good as well - we paid CYP14 each B&B. This is a good stopping point to explore this corner of Cyprus, with many walks in the Akamas just nearby. Don't bother with the Baths of Aphrodite - it's just a pool of water in a shallow cave, and not worth a visit in itself. So you might struggle to spend a week here, but it's a good place for independent travellers to spend a couple of days.
