Stayed here recently and would say without a doubt that it was not of four star standards. The food was shocking most nights not cooked properly and was more catered for German/Spanish/French guests but the salads were good. I found if you had a complaint the reception... more

Good food and clean
I stayed in this hotel in September. The hotel is clean including the pool area which is quite big too. Rooms were put in order every morning after we leave for our excursions. There was a wide selection of food in a buffet style. The food was fresh and the meat is grilled infront of everyone by the chef himself. Breakfast is also served in buffet style and there' s a large selection too from pancakes to spanish sweets and from bacon and eggs to salads. It was always fresh and appetising. The only drawback for this hotel is that it is far from main attractions. If you are going there to relax and stay on the beach in the sun, then this is the perfect hotel for you but if you are travelling there to visit the hot spots of Northern Spain then you are very far. We had a journey of about two hours a day one way to reach any ot them. It was too much tiring for a whole week . Checkout is really very early as written in other reviews and we had to pay an extra 20 Euros to keep the room for the day otherwise we had to be out of the room by 10 in the morning. It was a long time to walk out considering that the were leaving the hotel at 10 in the evening!
BRITAINS BEWARE!!
when we arrived at hotel we were impressed by surroundings and although the rooms were clean and the pool side was kept spotless it was a very discriminating hotel. Spanish people were waited on for drinks, english had to go to the bar. Spanish people had their own room for entertainment, we were not allowed in, we had insufficient entertainment and had to go out every evening. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM was the food, it was unappertising, repetitive and COLD. when we complained they did nothing. I will never return to the hotel and I suggest if you are any nationality other than english, welsh, scottish or irish you will be made welcome but for us the whole holiday was a disaster
Good & Bad
Just returned from a week stay at Oasis Park, Lloret de Mar. The hotel itself was clean, rooms basic but again clean, fresh towels everyday. Impressed by pool area plenty of sun loungers, parasols etc.didn't have to fight for loungers!!!!! Security camera's in corridors & security staff around all night, although never had any problems!!!! Did, however, have issues with the food, buffet style what I would describe as a canteen. None of the food was labelled so it was a bit of a guessing game to what you were putting on your plate & to be honest it was not very appetising. It was rather unpleasant experience with everyone pushing past to get their food certainly not a relaxing meal. Also, the waiter would walk up & down the restaurant with the drinks trolley so you would spend most of your time trying to get his attention. We ate twice in the hotel for evening meal but that was the most we could handle, it was out every night from then on. Another problem was the check out time, we had to check out at 10am, however, we were not getting picked up until 1am the following morning, we asked to keep our room on early on in our holiday, however, were informed we would have to ask the day before check out. I asked at reception 1st thing the morning before check out & was told the hotel was full. The only facilities the hotel provide is the luggage room & a toliet & shower (1 male & 1 female) by the swimming pool, hardly adaquate for the number of guests all departing that day. To be honest my friend & I found this unpleasant enough but we certainly felt more for the people with young children having to go 15hrs with no facilities, poor end to the holiday. All in all the hotel was a clean base in a quiet area & when you pay £200 for a week half board I think you get what you pay for, the above is just information for those who are getting charged a lot more than that!!!!
below avarage 4 star
had a great week at this hotel altho a few niggles the public areas lounge ect were very nice swimming pool gud with pretty flower beds and well tended very clean and bright...the hotel is sadly let down for poor quality food tough meat no veg cold food breakfast ok tho......the bedrooms were very drab and basic for a 4star sachet of shampoo on first day no more ....so the rooms and food would not give this hotel 4 star more like 2 or 3 such a shame its in a gud location top of the road shops bars beach all in short walk fenals beach is very pretty but for good swimmers as you cannot walk out as it s a steep drop havin said all that we would go back as we had a good week but b/b
4 star my backside
I booked a Globespan weekend to Lloret de mar in May 2007, we stayed in the Oasis Park Hotel which is given a 4 star rating. After what seemed like a never ending number of hotel drop off's we eventually arrived at the hotel. The public area's of the hotel were fine, the rooms although basic were clean and the service was ok. Service was slow as we waiting hours to have a fridge delivered to the same and initially had an "ant" that had to be dealt with. Where the hotel really fell down for me was the food. Went down to diiner to what I can only describe as a cattle market of people fighting their way into the restaurant firstly for a table and secondly for food. The quality of food I felt was poor and certainly does not merit anywhere near 4 star status. Breakfast I managed a slice of toast and a cup of tea which I made myself and was acceptable. Tried dinner on the second night again, it was exactly the same so deicded for the reamining two night to eat out. Wouldnt recommend the hotel and certainly would go back! The weekend itself was great and Lloret de mar as a resort was lovely for May.
Get what you pay for....
Trying to get out of Girona airport at night to the hotel or even Lloret de Mar was a nightmare, no busses, had to get a taxi which were very very scarce and expensive, about E50.00 or so and over 45 mins away. Dont know whether that was a once off or not. hardly. Definately a case of fend for yourself, no such thing as an organised queue or any officials to ask late at night. Arrive at the hotel and its nice, clean, basic. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach though, and only a short time from Barcelona, you can get a bus from around the corner on the main road to the train station, will take about an hour or less on the train into the centre of Barcelona, cant complain, cost E8.00 return each. The walls however in the rooms were very thin, could hear everything. Lots of shops and restaurants around the corner, did the job for a 4 night stay, went just for sun and nothing else really, so was sufficient for something like that. Only downer was the distance from the airport and the thin walls. Ideal for a relaxing type holiday if its just eating and sun/beach you're after, not a place you'd go if it was a partying, romantic type holiday, not very family orientated either, which is a plus if you're young and just want to get away for a couple of cheap nights. Good value all round.
Above average, typical multi national workmanlike hotel
Spent last week [1st week in September]at the Oasis Park and was completely satisfied with our experience. Staff were excellent, everywhere was really clean, the food was varied every night and the breakfasts were plentiful[three kinds of sausage for example]. Get a high room overlooking the pool(ours was 536 and got the afternoon sun) as there is traffic noise which is to be expected in a busy resort. The rooms were simply furnished with good sized balcony and the bathroom was well equipped. Your fellow guests will be from all over Europe and there is an increasing amounts of people from East Europe all very friendly. There were a few families whose children were well catered for in the ample sized pool and surrounding grassy areas.Entertainment in the evening was moderate, but we were usually too tired to enjoy it as we were out every day walking along the superb coast line and swimming in the warm Mediterranean(avoiding the jellyfish of course). This is something which you must try as there are stupendous views and hidden coves to discover along the way. Walk to Blanes to the South and Tossa to the North, then return by boat. We are well in our sixties and if we can do it any body can-just take your time and revel in the superb scenery! If you still have energy left at night it is about 20 minutes walk to the flesh pots of Lloret de Mar-party town par excellence. All tastes catered for.If you have a car ,the countryside inland will amaze you at it's variety. A visit to Girona will reward you with it's magnificent cathedral, walks on the old castle walls and through the ancient streets of the Jewish Quarter. There are also some very smart shops, the whole town buzzes. We were blessed with fine weather all week but if it turns inclement and you have a vehicle there is so much to explore and enjoy-and I have not even mentioned the jewel in the crown- Barcelona-just down the N11! If you haven't got a vehicle the Pujol bus company will carry you at very moderate cost, any where at all, reliably and comfortably.
A Great Hotel, but has problems.
Our wedding anniversary holiday got off to a poor start by being told our room wasn't ready and we had to wait a few hours. The room became available after I demanded to see the hotel manager. As a insulin Diabetic I needed a fridge and was told in UK FOC, the hotel charged 40 Eoros, and shrugged shoulders when questioned about the cost. The hotel was very clean and tidy, with great swimming pools. The resturant had a buffet with a broad range of selection, however the quality was very poor, a 4 star hotel that serves up burgers and battered sausage at evening meals ??? Entertainment in the evening was bad, Quiz night, Karaoke, Bingo, A Bird show, and it's true ' night off'. Oh for some true Spanish entertainment, we can have the other at our local pub without going away on holiday. We regret that we shall not be visiting this hotel again, but of our 41 visits to Spain will stick to the Sol Group.
very good except for the food
absolutely no problems with cleanliness staff or facilities. the amin problem was the food.If you were not down at the very start of the meals the food was not very warm at all. The soup was the same every day and if you were full board as we were that meant twice a day. If you like desserts the selection every night was mainly creamed rice and creme caramele, cheap tubs of icecream, square little cakes with an assortment of fillings or fruit. There was reasonable varieties for the main courses but anything fried was very greasy. I would not go back again. We only had entertainment 5 nights ou of 7 and as you are a15 minute walk from the main town or a taxi ride and none of the local pubs, which were not many had any entertianment it was hardly convenient.
Very Good Holiday
One weeks holiday.. 04 to 11th June 2005, room no 482. Hotel VERY clean, Reception very helpful, location fine for Fanals beach, bit of a walk (but nice) 12 mins into Lloret beach front. Local bus every 30mins (0.9euro = 60p). Food was good except the traditional Spanish "streaky bacon" it streaked that fast there was little ham and all fat. apart from that the soups may have been different ! All in all over the one week no complaints. Entertainment usual Spanish Flamenco one night, chap with a keyboard another night, couple of singers one night etc ... not the Palladium but barely passable. Drinks bit on the dear side in the hotel but that's par for the course. Carpets in the corridors so no "clip-clops" at 2:00am. Main noise outside at night came from the bin men and the re-cycling receptacles. Would go back to the same hotel, says it all really.
