" Excellent hotel in every way! "

Just back from a fantastic week at the Oasis Park. After reading some reviews I was slightly apprehensive about our visit but I couldnt have dreamed of a better hotel! It was truly one of the nicest I have stayed in whilst on holiday. I admittedly have very high expectations but the Oasis Pk met all of these. Rooms were not huge but certainly not tiny and were imaculate with maids in every day to clean and provide new towels. The bathroom was really nice with a power shower which was great and the room had standard wardrobes, drawers, bedside table and air con. A safe was available at a cost of 20 euro. Balcony very spacious with table and chairs.
The hotel itself was great. 2 fantastic pools (one indoor but roof off in summer) plus a baby pool. Not allowed to reserve sunbeds and while we were there this rule actually did work as the entrance to pool wasnt opened until 9am and so therefore deterred people from putting towels down the night before. Jaquzzi and gym was free of charge and lovely to use. Had to book the jaquzzi at reception which was really good way of doing it. Entertainment at night was ok - a disco, flamenco dancing and a bird show while we were there - but there were plenty of bars and nightclubs located close by if it wasnt your scene. Staff at reception and the bar were really helpful and friendly. Free shots and snacks were offered every night at the bar and there was also pool tables, table tennis and another table game to play as well. We booked a trip to Barcelona which was 25 euro each and something I would highly reccommend! The hotel reception staff were really helpful in organising this and it meant we got a tour bus which picked us up outside the hotel and took us around all the sights in Barcelona with free time for shopping too.
There is plenty of lovely seating areas inside the hotel and at the outside area of the pool bar. Also internet access and vending machines located in reception area. We were half board so got breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great, usual stuff (fry food, fruit, lots of breads and pastries, cheeses and ham/salami etc) but big choice and really nice. We ate out some evenings for dinner for a change but the nights we did eat at the hotel, the food was lovely. Mostly had fish, pork, chicken and some other meats. There were also garlic potatoes, chips, soup, diff rice dishes and lots of salad, vegetables, fruit and desserts. Even the fussiest eaters could find something to eat!
Location was excellent! Fenals beach is right at the end of the road and not at all far! Literally about 5 min walk at max and no hills to climb at all, as I had read in another review. It was really nice with cafe and bar as well as loads of water sports available such as parasailing, banana boating, pedallos etc. Directly opposite the hotel was a supermarket which had papers, cold drinks and other little things which we needed so very handy location!! Loads of restaurants, shops and bars close by as well. The centre of Lloret is about a 15 minute walk and this is where the main strip is with huge nightclubs and bars. We went out on the strip 2 nights and it was really good although the usual hassle from people trying to get you in to every place was unreal! Would highly reccommend Moby's and Club Hollywood. I actually was glad we were located a bit outside of the main town in Fenals as we had everything the centre had but without the PR's hassling you with every step you took to go into their bar. The beach here is longer than Fenals but there is no need at all to go to it when Fenals is only metres away and has everything that the main one in Lloret has.
Overall we had a fantastic week in Lloret De Mar. I went with my boyfriend and it was great as had the choice of a lively night out while also being able to have quiet nights with dinner and wine or a few drinks in hotel bar. We encountered mostly french and spanish tourists but also met a good few english, german and some irish (like ourselves). I am so glad I chose to stay here. Fantastic hotel and would highly reccommend to anyone!

Advice: Excellent hotel and resort, something for everyone no matter what age!!

Activities: Going to Barcelona for the day is a must!!

Good for: Beach

" Stayed here recently and would say... "

Stayed here recently and would say without a doubt that it was not of four star standards. The food was shocking most nights not cooked properly and was more catered for German/Spanish/French guests but the salads were good.
I found if you had a complaint the reception staff were of little help and didn't do much to rectify your complaint.

On our last day we had to check out at 10am although we weren't being picked up until 2.15am the following morning. We were told we could use the pool that day and that there was an area for us to shower but it was out of order on that given day which I found to be highly inconvienient which then meant we had to have a quick wash in the ladies bathrooms as staff wouldn't let us use another shower as they claimed to be fully booked.

As I had my young daughter with me I found this to be very off putting and made her first holiday a bit of a let down as she then had to spend the last night of the holiday sleeping on one of their sofas in the lounge.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you only booked it as room only we ended up eating out most nights as the food was so shocking.

The area around the hotel was lovely and fenals beach is only a short walk from it and some lovely little restaurants just down road.

" Loved it! The hotel was clean and... "

Loved it! The hotel was clean and comfortable and the food was great! So much choice everyday and always plenty there for everyone, we were stuffed after every feed! The entertainment was brilliant too, although Pedro left alot to be desired! Only problems for me were the main areas for everyone, ie the reception hall and bar, could have been better air conditioned, it was very warm to walk around in/sit for a while. And the light for each balcony didn't work, and on asking staff we were just told "they're not working", no word on when they were to be fixed. All in all I thouroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return, I fell in love with Salou!

" Hotel and Rooms were very clean and... "

Hotel and Rooms were very clean and Rooms cleaned on a daily basis..Although you had to leave your dirty towels on the floor otherwise they would not get changed. That is as good as it gets.Food was terrible and we found ourselfs living on salad(Lost 4lb in weight)Breakfast was total chaos and there was always a stampead when the doors finally opened. There were only a handful of brits.Mainly Russiand French and Spanish.Found them very rude and ignorant. The entertainment was aimed at these nationalities and was vary rarely explained in english.Same entertainment every night.Very little people stayed behind to watch entertainment as it started very late.Mini disco 2100.Staff were not interested in helping and did not talk much either.Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Best thing that could happen to this place would be to close down.Save your money and stay awy from this place.

" I have no complaints about the hotel... "

I have no complaints about the hotel at all. We booked three weeks before and i didnt know what to expect but was surprised how nice it was. Bedrooms spotless with hair dryer and air-con, the staff there are always cleaning!!

Food was relly nice and there is something for everybody's taste. Fish cooked in front of you, loads of salad, fresh fruit etc. Dinner was a bit hectic because it got quite busy, breakfast was a lot more relaxed.

Loads of shops near the hotel and beach is a 5-10 min walk!

Only small complaint i had was noisy french boys in room next door but that was no fault of the hotel!!

" hotel really clean, rooms cleaned... "

hotel really clean, rooms cleaned every day with clean towels. only a few english at the the time we went mostly forien! ten minute walk to the centre and 15 minutes to beach! food was very bland and fish seemed to be on the menu all the time!! the staff was really helpful. the hotel is very big you need to be up early to get a sun lounger!! they have entertainment on most nights, we went to watch a magic show which was more like a strip show!! i would say it was a 3star and a low 3 star at that!! you get a tv in ur rooms which only have the news and eurosport!

" Went for my first holiday aboard with... "

Went for my first holiday aboard with my husband. Went by coach. Lovely hotel but horrible trip would not do it again they got lost in paris and crashed before they even picked anyone up on the way back. (need me say anymore!)
The hotel was lovely and clean although the staff left much to the imagination they could do with some people skills. Often you would stand at reception waiting for someone to come and see you and when they did they are less than pleasent.
The rooms were clean as was the pool and pool area.
The food was horrible unless your French and like to have your food drowned in Olive Oil! We dont!!!!
The head man in the dinning room was very friendly when he fist spoke to myself and my husband but once that meal was over and he had found out where we were from he lost intrest....where as the french members of the dinning room got all the attention. Very wrong we thought.
Also a great place to go if you want to feel like you never left home what with all the bars being English, serving English food and if your worried about missing the soaps dont be because they sadly play them in on of the pubs we walked into and the quickly turned around and back out again.
WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT
I would not go again

" The hotel was very clean with clean... "

The hotel was very clean with clean towels everyday and the linen changed 3 times during the week we were there. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was good with plenty of choice, the dining room was very informal, however it does have standards ie shoes and t shirts to be worn before you were allowed in.
The hotel is situated approx 400mts from a lovely beach with beautiful blue seas and a 10min walk from the centre of Lloret de Mar (dont go unless you have to !)

I cannot complain about the hotel at all, it is a multi national hotel with the staff speaking, I counted 5 different languages very well.

Unfortunately the only thing that spoiled the week were the groups of English youths (girls as well as boys) whos behavour, language and manners were appauling, my daughter, mum and I were embarassed to call ourselves English - a very sad state of affairs!!!!

" Booked this holiday on line 3 weeks... "

Booked this holiday on line 3 weeks before departure. As it was rated a 4 star be thought we couldnot go wrong even though it was a cheap holiday to the usual price we pay.Upon arrival although clean the hotel was situated in a very busy noisy road and was very sparse in decor. The bedrooms were more in the line of a hostel bedroom. Single beds that were made for children. The bathroom was quite modern and up to standard. The diningroom was more in the line of a canteen, they even came around with trolleys picking up the dirty plates from the tables scrapping the food off the plates in front of you. The food was always cold with a very poor variety. My main gripe with everything was the holiday makers themselves. They ate like pigs , never used side plates put bread etc onto the table and the f ing and blinding never ceased. To sum it all up its a great place for youngersters to stay on a low budget that have a hangover so dont care what they eat or see. Entertainment was really for the children not adults. One thing the hotel was kept very clean but only rated a 2/3 star.

" My comments!!!!!!!!

My comments!!!!!!!!

Where do i start!!

It was myself and my partner (he wasnt there long after shacking up with the lady in the cleaning uniform), also there was my brother his partner and their 3 yr old daughter my mother and my gran.

Firstly on arrival there was no-one at reception after waiting 30 mins to check in a drowsy receptionist arrived we got checked in and off we went up to our room. When we got to the 5th floor opened to door to discover newly weds (lets just say enjoying their honeymoon). As i walked back down all the stairs with my luggage as there was an "out of order" sign on the lift with the rest of the family in tow nursing our frail old gran down the stairs finally got to the lady at rection who rudely grabbed the keys and sent us on our way with another key except this time on the 6th floor (what a disgrace).

Once settled in the next morning we got up to discover they were empting the pool as a child had a bit of an accident and it had to be emptied. The food was disgusting and the menu never changed the whole time we were there. A shortish stroll to the beach was lovely in overall the holiday was beutiful just the hotel and the humffing of our granny and her scooter up and down the stairs wasnt to good.

I would never recommed this hotel to anyone worst hotel i have never been to!!!!!!!!!!!!!

" Me and my wife are 27 and booked this... "

Me and my wife are 27 and booked this hotel for a cheap sunshine break. Arrived at hotel after a 1 1/2 hour transfer from Girona airport at 22:30hrs. Reception very helpful, given room on 6th floor on road side, can be noisy. Room had air conditioning and was clean and tidy but very basic. Walls are very thin.

Breakfast was very good lots of selection, evening meal however is a different story, the restaurant opens at 19:00hrs and on our first day it was a battle to get to the food which was of poor quality; raw meat on top of cooked meat. Everything was cold and by the time you manage to find a seat the meal was cold and tasted awful. I would recommend going bed & breakfast at this Hotel.

The rest of the hotel was very nice, entertainment was a bit cheesy but ok the pool was very nice get down at 09:00hrs to reserve your sun bed as it can fill up quick.

We took a trip to Barcelona, we got a bus to Blanes train station 1euro 25 each and then a return train to Barcelona for 17.50 euros for the two of us very cheap. Train takes 1hour 20 mins. ( Dont go by coach it takes for ever).

The weather was very good for September it never dropped below 30c. I would recommend this hotel for a cheap break for one week as two weeks would be too long there is not a lot in Lloret de Mar.

" Me and my fiancee just returned from... "

Me and my fiancee just returned from a 2 weeks holiday in Lloret de Mar where we have been 2 years ago and we loved it.
We`ve booked our holiday well in advance (march 2007). We came across few 4 star hotels in Lloret de Mar and we`ve stopped at Oasis Park a 4 star hotel not to far from Fenals Beach.

Big mistake!

First of all the reception staff should be trained in how to deal with customers - we are paying them - not the other way round. Very rude approach from the reception staff very good from the restaurant staff.

Another thing that has to be mentioned is that the partition walls are very thin therefore any noise can be heard very easily. This hotel is not recommended if you are trying to sleep after 7AM.

On their website there is a list with facilities that they offer but what isn't mentioned is that you have to pay some ridiculous prices like 3 euros per day for a fridge or 15 euros per day for parking when it's free everywhere around the hotel - obviously if you are lucky to find a space.

At 2 AM I was watching the TV when one of the Reception staff knocked on the door asking me very rudely to turn the TV Off.

Very important is that the reception staff can`t speak English, the restaurant staff can (should be the other way round ). Any complaint will not be resolved, don't waste your time doing it.

One day there was no power for about 2 or 3 hours - not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. The internet was down all the time, a piece of paper saying Out of order is not good enough, we had to go to another hotel to use the internet.

Very good variety of food, cleaning staff very good. The room furniture is basic far from a 4 star hotel,a good example Costa Encantanda Hotel Lloret de Mar. There is only one socket in the whole room if you are trying to re-charge your telephone at the same time with your camera or any other device, be prepared to wait.

In other words this hotel is a very good 3 star hotel having said that we have been in a better 3 star hotel.

Oasis Park Hotel LLoret de Mar NOT RECOMMENDED !!!

" Visited June 2007 with party of 10.... "

Visited June 2007 with party of 10. Taxi from the airport was about 45 minutes and cost 45 euros split between five. The check in staff were OK if a little abrupt at times.

The rooms are basic but adequate and very clean; our towels were changed each day. Our rooms were situated on the road side of the hotel on the sixth floor it was a bit noisy at times so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

We went half board and had buffet breakfast and evening meal, we found a good selection of food for all tastes. You need to practice shoulder barging to keep your place in the cue for tea and coffee, because some of the Germans push to the front.

We went on a coach from the hotel to Barcelona. We could have flown home and back in the same time. I wish we had taken the bus to Blanes then the train to Barcelona it would have been quicker and cheaper.

We walked to the beach most evenings and sat in a fantastic little bar at the far end of the bay, very cosy and lit with candles. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel it was much better than I expected for the money.

" Just returned from this hotel. We... "

Just returned from this hotel. We were there last year & thoroughly enjoyed it, hence the return visit. This year was such a disappointment. The hotel has maintained its standards of cleanliness but food; entertainment & noise levels have all deteriorated significantly.

Evening meal is OK if you like fish, or meat, pork or chicken cooked with fish to retain the taste. Apart from that it's chips, pizza & chicken rissoles. The fruit selection was the only saving grace.

The entertainment is more suited towards the elderly southern European clientele e.g. aquagym & ballroom dancing.
We also found the elderly southern European clientele keep strange hours. Those around us were awake, chatting loudly & moving furniture around in high heels before 4am, even the management, to whom we complained, could not quell the noise.

Would not recommend this hotel for a family holiday or for those who appreciate sleeping until 7am.

" My wife and I came to Oasis Park... "

My wife and I came to Oasis Park Hotel with a group of 50 people for 5 days. Overall we were happy with the accommodations. The food in the dining room (breakfast and dinner) was buffet style with a large variety of very tasty foods for dinner. Breakfast was also good but more limited in terms of selection (since I don’t eat ham and pork). There was only one type of yellow cheese. Fruit yogurts were also missing but there was plain yogurt.

Our complaints were more directed to the rooms and service in the hotel. In the centre of each floor there are four rooms that are that are considerably smaller than the other available rooms (rooms 473 and 474 on our floor). This is mainly noticed in the bathroom where there is a very tiny shower with a vinyl curtain instead of a bathtub (as in the other rooms). The bathroom itself was miniature and difficult to manoeuvre inside. So try not to get these rooms for a more pleasant stay.

Several items that we consider standard in other 4 star European hotels have to be paid for separately here (room safe, small refrigerator - 2 euros a day, iron for clothing - 3 euros). Twice we came back to the room at the end of a long day of touring to find that the beds were made but that there was no shampoo. After calling room service each time it was brought up 15 minutes later, but I was told by the person who brought it that they do not HAVE to give us shampoo on a daily basis. One time we asked for an extra towel and were given a hard time about this as well.

The outdoor pool was nice and there was some form of entertainment each evening. The staff was OK, even though in general they weren’t overly friendly or helpful.

One time we took public transportation to Barcelona. The bus was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus was supposed to come every 20 minutes, but this day took at least 45 minutes till it arrived. From there it was about another 20 minutes to the train station at Blanes. The train ride was very pleasant and took about an hour and 15 minutes.

As I mentioned, overall we were pleased but with the above info there will be less reasons for disappointments or surprises.
