Sands beach resort hotel Lanzarote is the best hotel in the world to me.
Most of my family love this hotel too.
I go to lanzarote once or twice a year,and I stay in sands beach.
To me it is the best of the best!

We have just returned from a week in the sands beach resort, lanzarote .2 weeks would of been better
All we can say is Fab Fab Fab..
November and the weather was amazing we lay on the private beach and swam in the sea.We stayed half board which is well worth it we never had the same meal twice .
The childrens entertainment was just brilliant our daughter is 6 and went to the morning buddys club afternoon club and evening mini disco.Bastian was amazing as an entertainer.
We will be returning in febuary and would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone young or old .
10 out of 10 for maid service , bar service and helpfulness right around the resort....

I have just come back from a week at sands beach resort, it was the perfect holiday for myself my partner and our two year old daughter, we stayed on the beach front appartment which i would highly recommend, your literaly two steps away from the private beach which had lots of toys and lilos for the kids to play with and for the adults!! the main pool area could do with a bit of an update but nothing that would stop me going again. the staff are friendly and helpful and the kids entertainment is great. the appartment was very equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and full kitchen but the only thing that let it doen (which would pout me off going in the mid summer) was no air con, it was very hot at night but we soon got use to it and found out later on that a fan can be requested and they bring it to you! the entertainment at the hotel bar was pretty good too and again the staff were great, kids entertainers were so funny!!! we had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was great, a full buffet of hot and cold food. if you walk about 15 min to the end of the road you come to 'market sqaure' which had lots of nice resturants. ideal family holiday and we will def make this our yearly holiday destination! cant wait to go back :)

Just back and what a great time we had.
apartment with booked privately and would highly recommend doig it as it is a lot cheaper than with a tour operator
we had a beach front apartment and what a view and only a few steps to the beach and lagoon!!!.. fantastic.
Weather was hot hot hot.
reception was very helpful and clean,
Pools clean and cold but thats why we stayed at the lagoon... floating around on the air beds.. superb.
Shopping centre 8 minutes slow alk.. i timed it. further along is the top of town where there is alot more eating places and a fantastic buffet shinese for 5 euros.
Entertainment in the evening s was pants!!
flight with ryanair good no problems and transfer by taxi at 25 euros took 15minutes.
yes a great holiday and will be going again. hope this has helped you ..go coz you will enjoy.

Just back from a weeks holiday at the Sands Resort. Having read all the crap reviews that have been left before i went my holiday i was somewhat wishing i hadnt picked to go there...... BUT ALAS when i actually arrived at the hotel it was absolutely stunning, very clean indeed and certainly didnt deserve the bad feedback i had previously read.The apartments were lovely. I had booked a junior suite and it was only for 2. But could easily sleep 5. It had everything you would need. The entertainment was fantastic. I honestly couldnt fault them. All i can say is i would recommend this resort to anyone, they cater well for wheelchair access too.

We had two weeks sands beach april 2009,we like others read reviews and took a chance,we experienced rusty bath, cockroaches,old tatty bed linen,maid service not good as always incorrect towels left,if cooker used all electrics would fail,at one stage we were asked to check fuse box.We did change appartments which seemed to happen alot to other holiday makers while we were there.the second appartment was a little better on second floor but we did notice no smoke detectors in any of these appatments plus fuse boxes had no protective covers on them as a water fire extinguisher was blocking it,also a chair had been put under fuse box which would have enabled toddlers to touch fuse box.If in the advent of a fire there would have been no way out on second floor.We did have a takeaway one evening this was very poor and went in the bin.It does seem there is a two tier accommodation as from what I have learnt it used to be 5* Time share some people still own appartments and if you book with owners you will have good appartments as shown on internet but others booking with agent will most likely have the same experience as ours!Please also read trip advisor we also put our experince on there,we did have a refund of £400 from tour operator and was told they would look into the fact no smoke detectors.Also recepion very slow due to the fact that if the telephone rings they will answer this even if checking you in be prepared to have a long wait,as phone rings alot usually with complaints!

I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Sands beach resort Costa Teguise. After staying with 3 teenagers at the Los zocos in sept 2009 (which i highly rated by the way) me and my hubby decided to go slightly upmarket and go for a 4* seeing as it was only the 2 of us, although the apartments are very nice, they are very tired and could do with a lick of paint and new curtains and bed blankets, other than that the layout and furniture was very good, we were unfortunate enough to have a view of a brick wall and not a pool view, although we were still within close distance of the pool and this did not ruin my stay here. i did not like the bathroom how the floor was done as i feel it held all the dirt, so i always wore flipflops when going in there. The outside of the apartments were spotless, and looks immaculate. How the site is set up is ideal, as all apartments surround their own pool, so there are plenty of sunbeds and room for everyone, however if you were all inclusive you had to make sure you were over in the far pool by the Mai Tai to benefit from the drinks and snacks etc, and we were in Palmara which was furthest from this area so i was glad i had only gone bed and breakfast, we had been all incl in Sept so we had decided to try the restaurants in the town, the steakhouse La pardella is a must, there food was amazing, as was the English Chippy i have never tasted fish like it. The Sands beach has a spa and gym, although you pay for a 4* hotel use of these still incurs an extra cost, i did sample a hot stone massage but there was no way i was using the gym, i am on holiday!!!!! The staff were pleasant but did not go the extra mile as did the staff at Los Zocos. All in All although i had a very pleasant stay, oh and the weather again was fantastic, i have topped up my tan perfectly i much preferred los zocos, i shall return to Lanzarote but i shall sample another part of the island i think next,as they say variety is the spice of life.But if you have not been to Costa Teguise it is well worth a visit, and i recommend Los Zocos.

Great place to stay, location great, about 10mins walk to main area of costa teguise. These appartments are great, containing everything you could need for a great holiday.Animation team were fantastic with kids, me & my hubby were on our own both of us being in our early 50's but we still like a good time, we will definetely be booking to go back and will be taking our 2 grandsons aged 9 & 5 yrs next time. Plenty of places to eat in costa teguise never had a bad meal, steak at El Patio's was lovely, and all the restaurants were very reasonable in price. We hired a car for 2 days and managed to most of the excursions, including timanfaya the national park area of volcanic mountains which was amazing, wewll worth the 8 euro admission, you could drive to the car park and then transfer onto a coach which drives you all around the park leaving you free to take as many pics as you want. The cactus garden in Guatiza is also a must see, again 8 euro to get in but well worth it, also another must see is Jameos Del Agua a volcanic tube formed during the eruptions of Monte Corona in prehistoric times which holds a natural underwater lake containing blind albino crabs, and also a superb white swimming pool designed by Cesar Manrique, also an underground theatre which seats 1000 people. A lovely island which we will be visiting again. The only warning we have for you is be aware of Indian electrical shopkeepers in playa blanca,they rip you off good style take your money off you first before giving you the goods and then refusing to give you it back even if they do not have what you want, they have a sign up in the shop saying no refunds of money, we checked the law and they use an old spanish law which they will not rebuke, we were ripped off in a shop selling video cameras, beware, much cheaper at home.

Basically place is fantastic clean and nice, friendly staff too many rules and regulations and if u want a holiday where u r not allowed to laugh or have fun then this is the place one step from the graveyard. You have been warned.
