Lovely villa position with great views. The pool is a little old fashioned and some of the kitchen appliances didn't work, (i.e. washing machine). The owners came round to look at it and that's all they did!
Villa Nitsa is up a steep hill of around 300 metres, but doesn't take long to walk to the first bar, the midnight cocktail bar. This is run by Kostas and you couldn't wish for a nicer host. There are 2 or 3 tavernas within easy walking distance, but for more Tavernas you will have to walk a fair way or drive. Nissaki itself is very small, but beautifully put together. The 3 tavernas on the beach are very good!
If you have never been to Corfu before rest assured it is a beautiful Island with very friendly people. Nissaki is really quiet and relaxing. If you want slightly more lively, go to Kassiopi, Ipsos, Sidari, Gouvia, Benitses, Mesonghi and St George. If you want noise and loutish behaviour go to Kavos. However if you want peace and quiet go to Nissaki, Barbati, Kalami, Paleokastritsa, Acharavi, Roda, Arillas, Agni, or Kaminaki.
Go to Corfu Town, you'll fall in love with it! Very Busy in the morning and early evening, but peaceful between 2pm-6pm.
Airport is crazy! but just chill out, there's a seat on the plane waiting for you! Coming in is fine, it's the long queue's on the return that can get a bit tiresome. If you're an independent traveller, wait inside with the air con (near arrivals) and just wait until your check-in flashes up.
Corfu's getting pricey, gone are the days of Drachma and value. The Euro has a lot to answer for! You will pay anything from £15-£50 for a meal for 2. Taverna Agni (in agni) food is fantastic and has probably one of the best dining rooms in Corfu!
Beer is between 2 Euro and 4 Euro, Mythos is the best for me, especially served in a frozen glass!
Back to Villa Nitsa, I cannot fault Villa Plus for their arrangements and after service, if only all companies were like this. The Villa itself if smashing, but it could be fantastic if the pool was updated and the appliances worked!
I will use Villa Plus again, but perhaps not Villa Nitsa.
