I have only giving this Villa 2/10 and that is being kind
The kitchen was very dark and we had to keep the light on at all times
We were unable to open the window as the smell from the enclosed yard was terrible.
The cooker was on a uneven surface and moved when cooking.
The one and only toilet was right beside the kitchen not great in very hot weather.
The living room had the most uncomfortable seats we have ever set on.
The unit which the TV sat on had a door hanging off the TV which was not working was replaced by the owner this was a larger model which was to big for the unit so had to sit on a small table in front of unit.
All of the bedrooms had a musty smell and as for the pillows, bricks would have been more comfortable
There was a step down from the kitchen which was approx 12 " not great while carrying drinks.
The dog next door barked day and night as did all his mates within earshot .
The pool was fine but not for people with children as it could not be viewed from the house.
When we arrived home I wrote a few letters of complaint to Thomson but it was a complete waste of time as nothing was done about the Villa
Have been going to the Algarve since 1984 and this is by far the worst Villa we have ever stayed in

We arrived at this villa at around 9pm on the 19th August 2007, having attempted to follow the instructions given.
I won’t go into great detail, but suffice to say we got to bed at around 1am.
The villa on the face of it is very nice with a lovely pool (beware it is deep at one end). The bedrooms smelt of damp and the double beds were very insecure and we decided to sleep in the two single beds in the front bedroom.
During our stay we were constantly disturbed by dogs barking (day and night) and there is a Railway station some 500 metres away and a railway track that runs adjacent to the property at the bottom of the hill.
As a result the "Relaxing break in peaceful surroundings" quote from the brochure is totally wrong. We could hear the ringing of the bell indicating the approach of a train then the train passes giving a hoot for good measure!
The living room furniture was very uncomfortable and smelt strongly of stale cigarettes.
The general condition of the furniture was poor and the TV supplied was a small 14 to 15 inch screen (the type you would have in a kid’s bedroom). There were a number of issues that we had with the property, and the surroundings which will be subject of complaint.
Don’t attempt to use the BBQ as there are no utensils and the state of the BBQ is terrible as is the prep area around it. We wanted as described in the brochure a peaceful break in natural surroundings, we did not get this.
Throughout the two weeks we had nothing but hassle in various forms, mad dogs people taking photographs, a rat that run over the roof when we were by the pool.
If you enjoy train spotting guessing the breed of dog by its bark, (oh yes and the smell from the next door yard was terrible) and enjoy sleeping or sitting on uncomfortable furniture this is the place for you. The pillows on all the beds are full of lumpy pieces of roughly cut foam.
The price we paid for this Villa was far too much for what we got, I hope this review is of some help to future occupants.
