We have just returned from this resort and hotel, and well I must say it was fantastic. The weather was hot, and sticky, you just sweated more than you were dry...
The food was great quality and selection, you could not starve in this hotel. Breakfast was just as big selection as there was for lunch and dinner...
The seawater was hotter than bath water , as someone else had mentioned earlier on reviews. I was shocked to actually find this true, it was over 38 degrees when we were there, and the outside temperature was over 44 degrees.
The room in the hotel we had was Deluxe sea view, and well you couldn't get a better room. The view was to die for. There was a new hotel being built next door, but we were pleasantly surprised that we could not hear anything even on the beach, we expected to hear cement mixers, loud radios, jcbs, similar to what you find in europe, but nothing, this new hotel is sister to the Meridien, so it will be good to see what it is like finished, and hopefully it will be the same service as this one.
The only down side was the waiter service in the restaurant Waves, they were a bit OTT, you'd just taken a sip out of your glass of water, and they would top up your glass again, then when you went to the buffet for food, by the time you came back your napkin was folded again, and your table was neat again. They were around like vultures, but at the back of the restaurant it wasn't too bad, so I recommend you go back there...
But it was just the way they were trained, and it was better than some hotels we have been into when you have to shout to the waiter to remove your dirty plates etc...
We hired a chauffeur company who was recommended to us by a colleague, and they act like a taxi and tour operator, they were great, and cost effective.
We also went to the Desert Safari, this was the best night we had had on safaris, it was scary to start with, as the jeeps slide down the sand on the desert, side ways, and up over the dunes etc, it was fun. Then you stop at the site, and have a BBQ, and belly dancers, you could have a Henna tattoo, but beware it is a dark one, and marks your clothing, and takes ages to come off, we were told it takes 7 days to fade, this is not the case.... my partner got one, and it is still dark and there,,, he got a scorpio, as they only have a small amount of designs...
Apart from that the shops we went to in the Emarates Mall, is the same you would find home, except it was more expensive than UK prices, my fav shop is Next and I was expecting to find different styles in the shop there, but it was exactly the same as home, except it was around £5-10 more..
The ski slope is worth seeing but you can only view from the glass in the mall, if you want to go in, you have to ski or snowboard. It looked cold and you got loads of clothes to wear from them. Still worth seeing.
All in the holiday was excellent and we are planning to go back again to the same hotel and use the same chauffeur company, we will just be prepared for the waiter service !!
ps. I even met my mothers friend in the hotel and she had been going there for over 9 years and loves it, so it must be doing something right as she always complains !!
Hope you all enjoy going there, and have fun.

The Mina Seyahi is of the quality that Dubai is known for, it is a deceptive hotel from the outside, but inside is elegant and bright .The staff are very helpful and willing to please.
There are all modern convenience inside from gym, internet access, cash machines, shops and more the rooms are excellent and of a very high quality as is all the building. Outside you have wonderful gardens and a great pool with bar.
The gardens are over an area larger than I have ever seen before ,they have golf buggies to run you around ... The eight or so restaurants are again of the highest quality with a selection of food to die for (especially the sweet section ).
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have the best of both worlds day or night as you can relax in the quieter bars and restaurants or liven up in a bar situated near the marina where the local Europeans seem to visit (and it continues late) The beach is large and directly behind the pool area with lots of sunbeds that’s if you can drag yourself away from the gardens and pool ,the sea is nice and warm .
This hotel has building work nearby but to be honest you are not really aware of it on the beach side and only the odd bang makes you look up ...All the main Hotels that hit the headlines i.e. Jumeirah beach , Burj al Arab are only a taxi ride away as are the souks etc Bye the way ITS HOT
All in all an excellent hotel and holiday location and there is an all inclusive option which is worthwhile

All the major hotels, Emirates Mall, Gold and diamond Centre Wadi Wadi water park etc. are only a short taxi drive away. The hotel was spotless in every respect, with great food and plenty of choices in the waves restaurant, no need to eat anywhere else. The level of service in the hotel, grounds and in the bars was first class, nothing was too much trouble for the very efficient and friendly staff, they in fact deserve the credit for us having a most enjoyable stay.
There was an extension being built to the hotel, but in no way did this cause any disruption and the noise was minimal despite 24 hour working in now way did this have any impact on my stay. The sea temperature was warmer than my normal bath, and the pool with swim up bar was not much cooler, however staff came around with cold towels, and provided free fruit to help us cool down.
This was certainly one of the hottest places I have visited, but the hotel air conditioning was superb. I will certainly return to this excellent hotel again, which will be even better when the new extension is complete. Cannot wait for my next holiday here.

One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had! My husband, daughter of 14 and myself stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of July, we all had a wonderful time and would return again.
The staff could not be more helpful, they seem to anticipate what you need before you ask and they give you the impression that nothing is too much bother for them.
The food was excellent. Half board basis meals are taken in the waves restaurant, which is buffet style. even the pickiest of eaters will find something to eat here, although there are other restaurants in the hotel which you are entitled to a discount.
The only downside was that we were not anticipating how hot it was in July/August and I would advise families with very young children to avoid these months as it can become unbearably hot, even the sea temperature was 75 degrees so the only place to cool off was in one of the four pools which staff regularly tipped in truckloads of ice to keep the temperature down!
Rooms were of a very high standard and cleanliness was 100% with towels being changed two or three times daily.
Overall, a very enjoyable holiday that was not ruined by the building work that is going on around Dubai. It is very noticeable but the thing to do apparently is to book a sea view room, you just have a lovely view of the sea not the building work.

For anyone looking for a piece of heaven, then head for this hotel in Dubai. We were picked up and dropped off in a limousine and treated like royalty the whole time we were there. There were myself, my wife, and teenage daughter in a fair sized deluxe sea view room which faced the Arabian Gulf, the view was straight off a postcard.
The room had a mini bar, TV, play station for hire, modem point, and the towels and toiletries were changed two times a day. The staff could not do enough for you and were always smiling.
We had heard about building work going on and were concerned about noise and dust. There was loads of construction as Dubai is an up and coming place but I can honestly say it did not affect our holiday.
We were on a half board basis and the food was so good that we all put on weight. It is served buffet style and we were pleased to say that cleanliness was of a very high standard
The one drawback that we found was that in July/august it was too hot. the temp was regularly 43 degrees and the sea was 37 degrees so the only place to cool off was one of the four pools which had ice blocks tipped into them regularly to keep them cool.
We had a lovely stay and cant wait to go back.

Had a fantastic holiday, just had to comment. The hotel is modern and contemporary. The grounds are amazing, four fantastic pools, swim up bar and private beach. The hotel has a themed buffet every night, the Arabian night was excellent, with music, belly dancer and henna tattooist. The bar around the main pool had a great menu for lunchtime snacks and very child friends and very reasonable. Drinks moderately priced, less than expected for such splendid surroundings.
The real plus point for this hotel was was staff, from the waiters, to the cleaners - everyone was friendly and really made our holiday.
We had a family room, which slept 2 adults 2 children no problem, sky TV, fabulous marble bathroom. No balcony as land facing, but very spacious.
Great kids club and beach bar (Barasti). Reason for being a 9 and not a 10 is because a lot of building going on around hotel, but was hardly noticeable at all. All round fabulous, going back in December.

I've just back from a hoilday in Dubai and stayed for 9 nights at the le meridien beach resort. I had an amazing time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned 2-3 times a day and the hotel and surroundings were beauiful. Although it was very hot 47 degrees thier were 3 pools to choose from and the hotel is situated on the beach front, so you could keep cool. If you do not like the weather very hot i would advise you to go to Dubai at a different time of year. Dubai isn't cheap so bring plenty of money so you can enjoy the lovely excusions and shopping malls. The hotel is located 5 minutes from restaurants and you can get a meals for a reasonable price. Three of us eat for £30. Eating in hotels can be very expensive. The kids clubs was very good with lot's of entertainment fot the kids. My 6 year old son didn't want to leave most days. Overall a brillant holiday and I will definately return
