We loved this place. Somewhat minimalist style may not suit everybody, but we enjoyed our stay. The service is excellent. The rooms, which have floor-to-ceiling windows, are bright and most have a view of the sea.

There is an outdoor and indoor pool plus Jacuzzi and steam room. There is a single internet-ready PC for guests’ use. There is a comfortable bar and a peaceful reading room. Funchal is less than 30 minutes by the hotel's (free) minibus. Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
