We parked on the roadside and made our way down a very steep driveway. It was dark but we opened the villa door in to a very spacious kitchen kitchen diner and lounge. Then two bedrooms which looked dated but clean. However next came the bathroom which my husband and I decided needs replacing asap. Very unpleasant to use, badly lit, leaks sealed many times around bath and WC etc. etc. The view from villa cannot be faulted but the whole place needs updating. Enjoyed the waterfalls, beautiful quiet beaches and Lefkas town. On the whole a relaxing holiday let down by accommodation which was NOT value for money.

  • Advice: Lovely accommodation to be found very close to beaches.
  • Activities: Waterfalls,Sivota, small beaches, excellent restaurant in Nidri which in English means the Bamboo.
  • Good For: Beach

These two apartments are situated just off the Lefkas Town to Nidri Road and are right on the water's edge. They each have a balcony on 3 sides of the apartment and have the most amazing view across several islands (including Skorpios) to the mainland.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable and kept very clean. Simply Travel include a welcome hamper of food for your arrival and this was extensive and very useful.
If you are looking for a quiet holiday - this is a very good choice. You could spend whole days on the balcony taking in the view and the sun. We took two of the sun loungers out of the shared garden and used them on our upstairs balcony.
There are also steps down to the sea and a private jetty for mooring a hire boat.
There are plenty of places to visit on the island. The nearest town is Nidri (harbour, tacky shops, noisy, etc) but it has a ferry service to Meganisi and Ithaca. Also lots of day trips go from here. Sivota and Poros are just a little further South from Nidri and have beaches and tavernas. There are many great beaches around here that can only be accessed by boat.
The supermarket opposite the apartment is excellent and the owners are so helpful and friendly. Lots of good tavernas and restaurants locally but you will need a car to manage in Periyiali though and to get to other places. The road is not suitable for walking along - no footpaths.
Would go back again - great place to stay and the Simply Travel reps were really helpful.
