Thanks to the all the staff at the Navarria, we so thoroughly enjoyed our stay we'll most certainly be going back. Receptionists Maria and Stellios were 1st rate, the chambermaids worked their socks off to leave our room clean and bright by the time we returned from... more

We booked our holiday last minute and the hotel seemed nice enough, and it was practically on the beach. But the hotel threatened to ruin our much needed break. Apart from the killer lifts which shut on you if you were not in the lift in under 5 secs, the staff attitude,... more

When we arrived at the hotel the reception area was dark and very dated. Managed to check in swiftly and the staff where very pleasant. Then we got into the lifts from hell!!! If you didn't get in them in time they closed and my husband got his armed trapped in it which... more

I read some pretty bad reviews about this place but I must admit that, overall, this is a pretty decent little hotel. I stayed for 10 days whilst working in Cyprus, before finding somewhere more permanant, and my initial reaction was that the rooms are badly dated and in... more

~ The food was stone cold and not nice, or not a wide range of choices. As a vegetarian there was no food available for me to eat so I had to live on bread and chips. ~ Pool was filthy and not suitable for children to swim in and their idea of cleaning the pool was putting... more

I found that the hotel was fantastic, the breakfast and dinner was very nice - there was a wide variety of food as every night there was a different theme. All of the staff were very friendly and always there to help. The rooms were cleaned regularly and the poolside area... more

In my opinion I think that the overall hotel was really good. I think that the breakfast was really nice; however, I do not think that the evening food was nice at all. I think that the food was disgusting. The maids did not change our sheets every day, all they did was... more

We stayed at the hotel in July '07. I would not recommend this hotel based upon my experience. Firstly, the food was awful. It was like being back at school. Basic food produced for the masses - on two occasions there were flies on the food (not very attractive). ... more

Hotel ok but not limassol
Stayed here for 2 weeks in July we found no problems with the hotel and the food was very nice both breakfast and evening meals. It was mainly Russian people staying there and they never looked as if they were enjoying themselves and even when you tried most of them didn't even speak or look at you!Our only disappointment was the busy dual carriageway along the resort and lack of people staying in limassol this hotel had filled up their rooms with groups of Italian students but they were no trouble even at mealtimes. The pool was nice very quiet and you could always get a sunbed. If you go to the beach turn left on the promenade and walk to West beach just before the Fourseasons hotel well worth it nice sand there but the watersports are much cheaper if you turn right.Very few people around the hotel area so most bars etc.. empty so there wasn't anything to do in the evenings as the only hotel entertainment that anyone went to was about 12 people for the Cypriot evening!!The other singers did try but very few people sat in the hotel lounge and it was only on a couple of evenings anyway.Hamlets bar which is very close was nice for a drink infact was the only one to have lots of people in as is popular with locals too.We felt sorry for the Cypriot people as they are trying to improve the area turning alot of the rundown hotels into appartments and new beach bars (no customers though!) probably because they are too expensive, don't go to Pebbles they charged us £6.50cyp for a coke&orange juice! You can walk to the tourist area or get a taxi the buses unfortunatly don't run after 8pm theres more life there but Limassol old town closes at night but is lovely in the day with nice little shops and castle but don't get off the bus at Debenhams because that is all there is and you have to walk quite away to find any other shops! The municipal gardens were an enjoyable walk as is the promenade. We hired a car and loved Paphos the mosiacs there were wonderful also the tomb of the kings and coral bay , drove to Derynia to look over the no mans land into the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus then via Protaras Ayia napa to a secluded beach cove at Agla Thekla.Visited Larnaca & Governors beach but our favourite day was up in the Troodhos mountains the villages and winery! Then found Lady mile beach which you can only get to by car it was lovely and the beach cafe food was fantastic. We enjoyed our holiday in Cyprus but if we returned would choose Paphos instead but had no complaints with the hotel at all.
What A Dive!!!!!!!!
Arrived at the hotel at 3am in the morning, nightstaff on reception provided us with a meal voucher as we had missed our evening meal. Rooms were very basic, like something from faulty towers, outdated. Breakfast was awful, not worth getting up for, evening meal very repetative, food was bland and lacked flavour!! Pool never seemed to be cleaned, evident when my partner and i developed a bad ear infection, whihc left us both on antibiotics for the second week of our holiday!!!! Hotel entertainment was basically not existant, good bar called Step-in Irish Bar about half an hours walk away, or grab a taxi. Attempted to book a room to keep our suitcases in a week before we were due to come home, hotel had none available, and staff didnt seem interested in helping us out!. We had to leave our suitcases outside the lift for 12hours whilst we waited to get out of our holiday nightmare. Would i ever go back to the hotel Navarria? = Never !!!
Not very good!
Myself and my wife stayed for a week in the navarria and found the rooms very small and basic and very dated, however they were clean. Reception staff we found were not very helpfull. The bar prices were very high, we found it cheaper to go to the local super market and purchase drinks and snacks to eat and drink by the pool. You could allways get a sunbed and the pool area was nice and quiet. There was nothing around the hotel exept a couple of shops and a decent bar called the Hamlet. The Rep said it was a 20 minute walk into Limmasol, Its more like 35 and i'm a fast walker. The Food was hit and miss in the Hotel, Breakfast was a miss every day (awfull), Evening meal was average. The Hotel entertainment was dire, it consisted of someone with a guitar singing to a backing track(only twice a week entertainment was provided). This Hotel i would recomend for eldery couples.
Very Disappointed.
Very disappointed. The room very small. The sink was blocked totally for 5 days, until we moved room. The food was terrible. We had to eat out every night. Not just us but many of the guests staying there. It was cold, no choice, and the meat looked under cooked. No fresh vegetables at all the whole two weeks that we stayed there.
Very nice hotel for a relaxing holiday.
My fiance and i have just returned from two weeks in the Navarria Hotel on a B&B basis through Olympic holidays. The foyer with it's beatiful marble floors and reception are a lovely welcome. The lounge/bar area are very comfortable relaxed and decor modern. The staff were always helpful. The dinning area was nice and there was always plenty of hot and cold food choice for breakfast up until 10am. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening but heard no complaints. There are also resonalbly priced restrauants and bars a couple of minutes walk from the restaurant. The pool was a reasonable size and plenty of loungers the area was clean being swept every morning. A short walk across the road finds you on the beach. Although the Hotel is a few kilometers out of the centre 80 cents on the bus will take you to the centre and beyond. Our rep Iain was excellent his welcome meeting the best i've probably been to and couldnt do enough to help. We will definatly be back to the Navarria in the future.
Dissapointed
Hotel in itself was good, the maids and staff were excellent. However the management left a lot to be desired. Pool area was very dissapointing in that the pool was dirty and quite few broken sunbeds. One corner of the pool area was constantly occupied by owners of the adjacent flats. Resort itself is quite a walk from any activity apart from tavernas. The beach is brilliant especially at Chris's beach a true gent who looks after you every visit. Wouldnt reccomend to anyone wanting lots of things to do but if its just a long rest then its ok.
Lovely Hotel
We stayed at the Navarria Hotel for the last week in May and was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms are very small and basic, but comfortable with air conditioning. The overal hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. There is also a beauty salon and gym. We booked half board and although we didnt make it up for breakfast the evening meal was always very nice with a big selection - we ate there every night ! The pool area was not crowded and there was never any shortage of sun beds and the staff were very friendly and helpful..
hotel nice, limassol build up and derelict in parts.
The Navarria hotel was nice although the rooms are small. We had a room with a "sea view" be warned however, between the hotel and the "sea view" are several hotel blocks and a busy dual carriageway, so you literally see the sea on the horizon The food was nice and maid service excellent with towels changed everyday. Breakfast was always a buffet with plenty to choose from such as sausages, bacon, toast, cereal and cold meat. Although the hotel was nice limassol was quite built up and in parts run down. There are a lot of demolition works going on and many hotels and shops are derelict and up for sale. We chose limassol as we didn't want to go to "club capital" Ayia Napa, however we hired a car and drove there and it was lovely, wish we'd stayed there! We went with olympic holidays who described limassol as a "lively resort" with plenty of bars, tavernas and discos. Maybe it was because we went at the start of the season in April but it was not busy. In fact there was hardly anyone there. This made going out for dinner intimidating as all the restaurant owners would be fighting for your business and when we went in we were often the only ones in there! The Navarria hotel is on the edge of limassol and the tourist area is not within walking distance, although there are buses and taxi's. Cyprus is very expensive, restaurants and bars are more expensive than in England with a pint costing around £2-3.
Good value hotel
Having moved here from The Old Bridge which was dire!! we found this hotel to be excellent value for money. The room, although a little small, was clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful when we asked to be moved due to the noise from the motorway and we paid £4 per night supplement for an upgrade to a seaview which I recommend for peace at night. You overlook the pool which cannot be used past 6pm, so and nice and quiet!!! The food was excellent. It was varied and it catered for all tastes. The carvery was "par excellence". The location, although a little removed, was very good. The local bus for 80c took you to old Limassol centre in 20 minutes. There were plenty of safe places to walk in the vicinity after dinner and apart from the road noise, this hotel ticked all the boxes. The only downside to the holiday was when we visited the North of the Island on the reps recommendation. We nearly had our mobile phones taken from us as they are highly sought after - so be warned! A lovely holiday and would stay here again! We ate in a lovely little cafe called "Rebecca" near the hotel where the service and food was excellent - they do nice lunches and are very helpful and welcoming.
super stay at the Navarria
We visited the Navarria Hotel in 2003 to see how the refurbishment was coming along. After seeing the improvements we decided that we wished to have another holiday in this hotel. The reception and bar area of the hotel is excellent. The rooms were spotlessly clean and we had maid service every day changing towels. Bed linen was changed every 2-3 days. The restaurant supplies customers with a wide choice of food in the evening and the staff are very efficient. The closeness of the beach and access to bus services enhanced the position of this hotel. It is a definite pleasure to stay here.
