Superb Hotel. Cannot Fault It.
10 / 10
Jul 2011, Granada

Thanks to the all the staff at the Navarria, we so thoroughly enjoyed our stay we'll most certainly be going back.
Receptionists Maria and Stellios were 1st rate, the chambermaids worked their socks off to leave our room clean and bright by the time we returned from breakfast.
Food: Special mention must made of the soups -which were truly outstanding, other than that, all the food was excellent and more than enough to satisfy the hungriest.
The Dining and Bar Staff again, worked tirelessly to keep the guests happy and very well served (Barman: Landros deserves special mention here for his courtesy and his expertises).
Will we be going back? You Bet we will!

Disappointing

We booked our holiday last minute and the hotel seemed nice enough, and it was practically on the beach.
But the hotel threatened to ruin our much needed break. Apart from the killer lifts which shut on you if you were not in the lift in under 5 secs, the staff attitude, food and extra costs made for an unpleasent atmosphere.
Extra costs such as bar snacks and drinks, and 10 Euros for a 60min tennis court hire (which turned out to be 45mins after the trainer had vacated the court with her attitude), seemed too much in what is supposed to be only a 3* hotel (although I would say it was more 2*).
When we arrived the room stank of stale smoke, was clearly not cleaned properly, with holes in the towels and a shower which did not work! We complained to the reception staff and were met with an argument that we had not paid extra for the pool view and so should be happy with what we got! That was the first of a catalogue of staff problems. Overall, staff were unhelpful and rude, making us feel very unwelcome. I have never experienced such bad attitude and feeling in a hotel I was paying to stay in!
Beware this hotel, it was dated, the food was very greasy and unhealthy, and the staff atitude made for a very disappointing stay!

When we arrived at the hotel the reception area was dark and very dated. Managed to check in swiftly and the staff where very pleasant. Then we got into the lifts from hell!!! If you didn't get in them in time they closed and my husband got his armed trapped in it which caused bruising. On getting out of the lift onto the 1st floor, walking down the corrider my daughter commented on how it looked like the corridors in the hostel she stayed in when she went to Belgium!! On entering the room my heart sank. It smelt very musty and was very, very, very dated. The door to the toilet was on runners to which there was no guider at the bottom so the door swung freely when you came to open and close it. The towels looked like they had been very well used although they were clean. The balcony wasn't big enough to swing a cat!! We only had breakfast in the hotel once in our whole week there and it was absolutely rank!! Everything was cold and under cooked and it wasn't even bacon but some kind of bacon substitute, which was awful!! We had our breakfast at the Blue Bar every morning after that which is just to your left out of hotel, run by a lovely couple from Birmingham who made you feel very welcome. I certainly would not recommend this hotel and definitely will not be returning.

Sep 2008, Mr A Watton

I read some pretty bad reviews about this place but I must admit that, overall, this is a pretty decent little hotel.
I stayed for 10 days whilst working in Cyprus, before finding somewhere more permanant, and my initial reaction was that the rooms are badly dated and in need of pretty urgent refurbishment but I suppose as I wasn't on holiday that didn't worry me too much.
Food was ok at breakfast - standard stuff really. I went for cereal pretty much every day and it did it's job.
The pool area and outside bar look lovely, and really are a plus point for the hotel. The pool itself is ok, but not the cleanest I've ever seen. The water often has bugs and other bits in it and there is grime around the underside of the pool edge.
The staff I thought were lovely. Very helpful and every one of them had individual character. From the long-haired Meatloaf-a-like on night reception (asking me how old i thought he was on my arrival at 2am!) to the cleaners to the friendly bar staff.
Overall, better that I expected but nothing special.

~ The food was stone cold and not nice, or not a wide range of choices. As a vegetarian there was no food available for me to eat so I had to live on bread and chips.
~ Pool was filthy and not suitable for children to swim in and their idea of cleaning the pool was putting loads of chlorine in it without fully cleansing, it was insanitary.
~ The rooms were appalling, this was due to the maids not cleaning the beds and there was a dead cockroach in the bed and there was also ants coming from the balcony doors due to them not being sealed properly, this has a hygiene fault.

I found that the hotel was fantastic, the breakfast and dinner was very nice - there was a wide variety of food as every night there was a different theme. All of the staff were very friendly and always there to help.
The rooms were cleaned regularly and the poolside area was also clean. The hotel is in a very good area where the beach, bars and shops are all close. Visit the cavalier bar which is about a 10-15 minute walk along the strip towards the old town, it is a fantastic bar and the food is amazing - let alone the staff they are all so friendly. The only problem we had was the cleaners ignoring the sign on the door when we wanted a lie-in.

In my opinion I think that the overall hotel was really good. I think that the breakfast was really nice; however, I do not think that the evening food was nice at all. I think that the food was disgusting.
The maids did not change our sheets every day, all they did was tuck in the sheets and clean the bathroom.
On the other hand, I think that the whole holiday went quite well! I really enjoyed all of the hotel entertainment and excursions we went on!

Have been to this hotel before and still really love it. Have got to say only went for breakfast a few times (very basic).
Would recommend Bar Blue they do great full English breakfasts and lovely homemade steak pie and chips (proper chips). Hotel is very basic but rooms are kept clean and staff are very helpful and friendly.
Not really a hotel for families as there is nothing there for children to do. Limassol is very very quiet not the same as it was when I first went there in 1992.
Decided to try another part of the island next year but still enjoyed my week in the Navarria and the weather was great!

We arrived at the hotel at...

Sep 2007, Miss C.L Lowe

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 3am. Night staff were friendly and gave us a meal voucher as we had missed our evening meal.
Room was very basic, but kept clean by the maid.
Food was monotonous, breakfast was the same every day. Evening meal was repetitive, all the food tasted the same and was very bland, had to add salt to the food to make the food taste half descent.
Pool never seemed to be cleaned. Had one incident of a child having their bowels open, and the hotel staff merely scooped the faeces out of the pool, no decontamination carried out which may have been the reason my partner and myself were on antibiotics for the second week of our holiday.
Entertainment was poor!!!
Best part of the holiday was the jeep safari which we took into the Troodos Mountains, I highly recommend this trip, it takes you to lots of different places all in one day.
Would I ever go to this hotel again? - NOT IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT - THE WORST HOLIDAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Aug 2007, Mr G Stamper

We stayed at the hotel in July '07. I would not recommend this hotel based upon my experience. Firstly, the food was awful. It was like being back at school.
Basic food produced for the masses - on two occasions there were flies on the food (not very attractive).
Secondly, the place was empty. I felt sorry for the band playing to nobody. I kid you not, the hotel was deserted on an evening and they put live attractions on which nobody attends.
The rooms were tiny and very, very basic. The brochure said Sky in every room - we had 2 channels and they was Sky news and BBC news 24. Nothing else at all.
In my opinion, and it's only my opinion, I would avoid this hotel if you have a choice. In fact, Limmasol itself is so quiet that it's hardly like a holiday resort at all.

Hotel excellent. Described as difficult for disabled but not so. Near beach - just about 7 steps down to main road. Good shops near.
Food - very good. Breakfasts quite English - bacon, sausages and beans of the English variety. Scrambled eggs lovely and light. Evening meals rather British - not a lot of choice of vegetables, but all very good cooking. Receptionist - lovely and friendly nothing any trouble.
Air con - excellent. Noise - not a lot - Majorca far worse! The odd motor bike but we did have our French doors open all night and could have shut them!!
Room - tiny bit small - friend had single room facing mountains at rear and this was larger - but not a problem - I was working there, so a little small for spreading out papers etc.
Med Hotels Rep (Gina) - excellent and informative. 3 trips (Paphos, Troodos Mountains and Nicosia all for £52 English) - MUCH better than Thomson as you don't get involved in huge mid-day meals which put the cost up - you spend the time actually seeing things, so 3 days out excellent value.
This nice little extras - every night a thermos of ice cold water was left for us - what a delightful touch and most welcome.
We would certainly return to this hotel - the swimming is lovely - and would recommend Medhotels and the pickup arrangements were excellent here too.

We arrived there late at night. People in the hotel were very friendly. First we got a simple room. But later we got a room with sea-view.
Maids cleaned the room very well every day. There were a lot of excursions available(personally we took 4 of them) and entertainment. The food was great and high-quality. I recommend to visit Limassol aqua park. We spent there whole day. From the early morning till it closed. Was also great to explore the city. Not just stay in the hotel. You can find a lot of interesting to do (entertainment) in the city. Like we've found a "time-machine".
We also recommend taking an excursion to Kykkos monastery (Grand Tour) in the mountains. We want to say a special thanks to the Grand Tour excursion guide Maria! We enjoyed all our stay in Cyprus in Navarria Hotel. We recommend it to everybody. And we'd love to go there again!
