Navarria Hotel

Went with mother, brother and 2 grand children aged 12 and 9.First impressions were very good. Greeted by night porter who was very helpful and who handed us vouchers for a meal on day of departure as we had missed evening meal on arrival day. However this did not turn out to be a good thing as meals were very monotonous and more often than not cold. The staff, apart from the cleaning ladies and 1 barman were not friendly which we found very unusual as we have been to Cyprus several times before and found them very friendly.
The Cypriot folk dancing night did not materialise despite being widely advertised and when I enquired about it was meant with indifference. The lifts were quite dangerous as doors shut very quickly and could not be relied on to get to the floor required. On the plus side hotel was furnished nicely and kept spotlessly clean. The pool was a good size and clean. Many supermarkets and souvenir shops around and frequent bus service into old Limassol.
Highlight of holiday was Water world-bit pricey but worth every penny and despite what hotel receptionist told me you can get a bus to it just a few yards from hotel. Rep recommended the Reptile house in old Limassol but save your money its a total rip off. (8 snakes, 6 turtles and 3 lizards despite advertising crocodiles as well). But definitely go to the castle-really amazing as was the Turkish part of Cyprus. will be returning to Cyprus but will be giving this hotel a wide birth.
