On first inspection of the reviews and pictures of the hotel/area this seemed a good hotel to stay at, an although it seemed pretty expensive we thought that it would be worth every penny - how wrong we were: The hotel seems to be living on it's once exclusive past, unfortunately that’s where it ends, the service was pretty shocking, - the food was a mish mash of dishes (when the restaurant was open ) and the poolside and jetty side daytime service and entertainment was non existent.
The setting is wonderful and the room views spectacular but the attention to detail and cleanliness was also a big let down, as was the transportation to the village which was a very difficult 15-20 minutes walk. (The hotel next door laid on a water taxi for its guests, but sadly the Agios do not understand client’s needs).
The views and calmness of the area do make up for a lot of the problems, but I would only give this a hotel rating of 2 star or 2 and a half star at the most.

Fantastic Hotel - lovely big freshwater pool and beautiful peaceful little cove to swim in and relax by. We were there at the end of the season so it was quiet and the perfect place to wind down.
We were upgraded from the hotel room to a suite and the view from the huge balcony was unbeatable at sunset. The hotel has high standards of cleanliness and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious with a changing menu each evening and lots of choice for breakfast.
It is a 15-25 minute walk to Sivota and this would not be suitable for people with walking difficulties but in the early morning before it got too hot it was fine. Sivota is a lovely wee place with plenty of good tavernas for a meal out or a bit of shopping.
The hotel can arrange a water taxi to take you there and back in the evenings. One of the best hotels we have found in 10 years of holidaying.

My cousin and I have stayed in many places and hotels in the past 7 years in my travels to Greece and the 7 night stay at Agios Nikolaos, Sivota this past July will remain unforgettable. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Irene and Fotini in reception. They were warm, courteous and and expedited our information quickly. They were an encyclopedia filled with information about our stay, the beaches, restaurants etc. Our room was immaculate. A double room with a bed bigger then a king size with white sheets and a very expensive topper. The housemaid cleaned everyday with new towel changes daily instead of every 2-3 days as in many hotels we have stayed in. Our view from the second floor balcony was priceless and indescribable, facing Corfu and Paxi. Upon our arrival we took a small tour and were astounded at how CLEAN and well manicured it was. Beautiful stone walls and walkways, trees, flowers etc. We had a private beach area with wonderful umbrellas and chairs, our own dock and beautiful swimming pool. Breakfast was fantastic (continental buffet) that put other hotels to shame. It was run by Mrs. Baso and her staff. Due to the fact I woke up at 6:30 am and breakfast began at 8am, Mrs. Baso took the time to make me American coffee every morning at 7 and filled my thermos to take back to my room. The restaurant was run by Mr. Chris and his staff. I am sure I have forgotten many other names but I thank them all, with service fit for a queen. Whatever we needed he was always accommodating. As for the chef, I have never tasted such fabulous meals. In beauty, flavor and type. We ate at the hotel restaurant many times because his food was so good and priced so reasonably that finding anything better in town was worthless. If your looking for Relaxation, Beauty, Fabulous Beaches, Excellent Services, Excellent Accommodations and Wonderful Warm People this is the hotel to live it. We loved it so much I will be booking again next year. I give this Hotel Paradise a "10".
