Lopudski Dvori Apartment

It seemed a shame that there were no reviews for Dvori Apartments and Lopud Island so for what it's worth here is my offering.
The apartment was lovely, spacious, air-conditioned and very nicely decorated with original paintings on the wall. Nice clean bathroom (always important)with walk in shower. The balcony was huge with a beautiful view over the harbour -we had the front one (Kuzma) so got the early morning sun as well as some gorgeous sunsets! If you leave the doors open you can listen to the sea at night.
If you don’t fancy going out there is a small pool and gardens complete with hammock. There is a small selection of restaurants around and near the harbour but Obala was our favourite. The waiters were very helpful (when you're not quite sure what to do with that lobster you’ve just ordered) and are happy to bone your fish for you if required. The steaks were great too.
A word of caution if you want to cook at your apartment - the two mini markets are very mini indeed. I'd recommend a trip to the mainland where we spotted a large supermarket near the port at Gruz. There are various excursions - we visited Montenegro and also did the trip to Korchula - both good days out with a very well informed guide.
Bosnia was another possibility and was well recommended by people we spoke to who had been. Take your comfy shoes and climb the walls at Dubrovnik but be warned if you haven’t got a head for heights - they’re pretty high in places. The beach at the other side of Lopud island is worth the walk, nice sand and crystal clear water - perfect for little ones as well as quite shallow for a fair way out. Some good walks around the island as well.
All in all, if you want a peaceful, laid back holiday Lopud could be the place for you. You can do as much or as little as you want and Dvori Apartments for us were the perfect base.
