I have been back 2 days and we are so depressed!! The hotel was absolutley amazing. The staff were so friendly and the entertainment team couldnt of been better... Amy,Suzy,Douglas,Steve,Nikita!!! I really dont know how they do it. They are all full of energy!! They made our holiday 100%. They were great. They made us all feel welcome and joined everyone in and made it so fun!! The food was amazing... we were there for 7 nights and they had something different to choose from every single night. . I would deffo recommend this hotel as we will be saving to go back :) I cant explain how good the hotel was.... Unreal. As i said the entertaniment team made it. We arrived on the 14th July in the early hours of the morning, very pleasant man on reception and were shown to our rooms. Our stay was for 2 weeks, party of two 18yr olds, 14yr old and 45yr old. I couldn't fault this hotel, food was lovely too much to choose from, deserts well make sure you take a bigger size dress!
The entertainment team were brill, always something going on, but didn't pester you if you didn't want to join in.
We enjoyed the shows at night, Amy and Suzanne have great voices.
I can't understand why some of the people are moaning about air conditioning, pool fountains etc not being on, it was beyond anyones control that the power station blew up, and while they are moaning about being a bit hot (july in cyprus what do you expect) don't forget that folks lost there lives in that explosion, so to me a bit of sweat is a small price to pay!!!!
Kids really depressed when they got home and have already booked again to go back.
If you are looking for a fun but relaxed holiday to suit all age groups gooooooo its brill!

We booked this hotel through Thomson. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay we would not recommend flying with them as the leg room on their flights is diabolical. My partner could barely bend his knees and if someone puts their seats back a mere smidgen, your dinner tray will be firmly situated in your gut!!
But about the hotel…..The reason we have stated it as a 4 star hotel is that we’ve stayed in a number of 5 star resorts over the last few years and the Atlantica lacks the ‘wow-factor’ that other 5 star hotels have. Having said that the service received was absolutely 5 star. Your every whim is catered for at this hotel.
To give you an overview, I hereby list the pros and cons we found regarding this hotel:
Pros:
• Situated across the road from Nissi Beach for people requiring the feel of sand between their toes
• Situated a mere 5 minute walk from Nissi Beach centre (don’t look for a cash point, as you won’t find one, the nearest will probably be in Aiya Napa 2 kms away)
• 2 km from Aiya Napa for the clubbers and culture lovers among you
• 5 min taxi ride from Waterworld
• Weather was 30 degrees throughout so ideal post summer location
• Largest swimming pool in Europe and it lives up to its name, 4 pool bars dotted around the resort
• Efficient, polite and sufficient staff throughout the hotel
• Huge food variety. Although there are the basics such as pasta, chips and rice, during our weeks stay we never ate the same thing twice. The menu was varied daily. The range of salad and meat, fish and poultry was vast. There is an a la carte restaurant but given the huge choice and the fact you had to pay we decided to keep using the buffet restaurant. Every evening a large tasty piece of meat would be available on the carvery as well
• The buffet restaurant is situated under a canopy by the pool so you can enjoy indoor/outdoor dining
• During the day there was entertainment available ranging from pool games, to quizes, to boules, to salsa classes…..in short something for everyone. You weren’t hassled by the pool by the entertainment team as is sometimes the case in some resorts. In the evening there was entertainment. The only one we watched and loved was a ventriliquist named Steve Hewlett he was hilarious. The rest is as you would expect from any resort, a bit cheesy. The Plori bar has 2 to 3 singers which alternate on certain nights, if not taken too seriously it can pass as entertainment. Twice a week there is dinner entertainment in the buffet restaurant with local music and dancing which was very good.
• The hotel caters mainly to the English and Russians. During our stay 80% of the occupants were English and thus English newspapers and sky news are available
• The all-inclusive cocktail list is extensive and a must try. In addition there are a large number of local brands and drinks available. The beer served is Keo or Carlsberg
• You are offered drinks with management at the beginning and end of your stay so they can sound you out about the hotel
• The hotel is kept exceptionally clean. You will see cleaning staff all over throughout the day
• Popular wedding location as there were 4 weddings which took place during our stay
• All rooms equipped with air conditioning which can be operated manually (as some hotels have this on a central system)
• Great for all kinds of people, young, old, families, romantic getaway
Now to the cons:
• You have to pay for the minibar, a la carte restaurant and use of the safe. If they find you using the minibar to store anything other than minibar items, you are charged (approx 5 cypric pounds per day)
• There is no option to have a double bed. All standard rooms come with twin beds that are on wheels and thus frequently roll apart
• The staff in the pool bars could do with smiling once in a while. All other staff at the buffet restaurant, reception and (Plori) bar (especially head barman George) are lovely
• The complex is quite compact, hence all loungers are near the pool edge and the rooms are mere yards from the pool. This means that you can hear the cleaning crew from 8am every morning. As our room backed onto a parking lot, we were woken twice at 6am as the dumpsters were being emptied. I can imagine that in peak season you would feel like an ant as you would be rubbing elbows with the person on the lounger next to you and fighting for beds. This was not an issue for us as the hotel was not at full capacity.
• There is no airconditioning in the main lobby and Plori bar which can lead to rather uncomfortable temperatures as the night progresses
Overall we would definitely stay here again as the pros outway the cons. If you are however looking for that 5 star ‘wow-factor’ I don’t think is the hotel for you. If you are looking for one or two weeks in the sun for ultimate relaxation and a good time with good food and drink, this is definitely a place I would recommend.

A nice hotel but not 5 star, swimming pools are good. more than one, clean and warm.
Hotel grounds are kept clean and tidy.
Rooms ok not that big and two single beds pushed together.
Housekeeping staff good very friendly.
Food is absolutley awful cheap and nasty. lots of choice if you like roast dinners, cottage pie, pasta thats overcooked with over salty sauce, chicken nuggets, pancakes at every meal which are then rolled up to make caneloni and the batter used to encase the dry and undersized fish in a jacket of goo. the salads are ok but covered in mayo and plain salad leaves are suspiciously like shredded cabbage
Hospital food and cheap cavery pub food springs to mind.
No local dishes at all and the meat all very cheap and thin and over cooked.
Breakfast not bad the fresh fruit selection is good.
Left overs from the day before can be found lurking in the salads, like roast meat etc.
The staff in the restaurant are too quick to clear your plate and table before you have even finished, should you all go to the buffet together watch out as your table will be cleared and given to someone else this happened three times to us
There is no wine list its by the glass house red rose or white and its not good.
The bar staff are slow beyond belief and ignore you.
Happy hour is a joke, its the only time drinks are reasonable but if you get more than one drink you are lucky due to eterntiy you wait to be served.
A Cypriot wedding reception was held at the hotel during our stay, we were not told about alternative dining arrangements an watched bemused as thousands and I mean thousands od locals descended on the hotel to see the happy couple, you could not move in the hotel or bar and the poor guests staying in some room had wedding guests sprawled all over their terraces til past midnight.
The food on offer in the a la carte is the old table d' hote menu and its sad as it shows the hotel has declined and you do have a wine list.
The dress code the hotel claims to have is not adhered to, male guests are allowed to wear shorts to dinner, football shirts, jeans and flip flops are accepted.
Swim suits are allowed for lunch and breakfast.
You can get a sunbed but people do still get up at dawn to reserve them, the hotel says it collects towels put out before 8am but it doesnt.
I would not stay here again while it remains all inclusive the standards will continue to drop, the pool was the best bit.
I will never stay in a hotel that offers all inclusive again,

Having recently returned from two lovely weeks at the Aeneas resort we are already thinking about our return visit.
The hotel was excellent with a good range of activities and plenty of space to eat and drink in a quite atmosphere.
The rooms were tidy although a little dated, the cleaning staff were always friendly and willing to help.
The food variety on offer was fantastic with several different food options each night, it was nice to be in a european hotel that doesn't just serve chips.
The location of the hotel was well placed in the resort opposite the gorgeous Nissi Beach. The large pool was bigger enough to avoid the crowds. My one negative point is that the pools did not always appear very clean, with lots of sand on the bottom and the entrances were very slippery, in the two week stay the pool was only cleaned twice.
Overall the holiday was brilliant and we can't wait to return

My girlfriend and I (27/28 years old respectively) have just arrived back from a glorious week at the aennea atlantica resort and thought would would share our thoughts.
The pool, the largest I have ever seen is something else, it has quiet areas, sports areas and plenty of room for the kids too...while being one pool!
The accomodation is of 3 stars class if it was in the UK, but the amenities and the food was of a much higher class. Don't get me wrong, the rooms have everything that you need and are larger than they need to be. Nothing wrong here!
The staff are very friendly and will help you any way they can, however ordering drinks can take several minutes. If you are looking to have a few drinks in the evening we would definitely recommend going all inclusive (26€ per day, min. 5 days when upgrading from half board) as the drinks prices are expensive (a pint of beer and a gin & tonic was nearly 10€). They are very laid back and will serve you as many drinks as you like at a time!!
The location, right accross from the Nissi Beach complex, is a great for beach lovers as the Nissi is as beautiful as ever! However, the walk into the centre of Ayia Napa square is 45 mins, a taxi costs 8€ each way. The walk in is a fairly enjoyable one but the shops do get very repetitive as they all sell the same goods...and dearer goods e.g. designer clothes and 'proper' jewellery, is cheaper in the UK.
If you have never been to Cyprus, the people are great...the friendliest we have ever met having travelled all over.
The complex is great for those wanting the best pool and bathing facilities, very close to the beach, with excellent food available all day (the buffet has an unbelievable selection including a kiddies bar, and the a la carte dining is very impressive!!) and maybe a couple of nights in the centre hitting the night life where there are some great bars...we are too old for the clubs now!
All in all the Aennea is great, I always take a star off when I see the 'official ratings' and have often still been let down (e.g. Dominican Republic!) but here the 5 star rating (if you use my logic) is correct.

Having stayed at the Aeneas hotel, if we could afford it, we would never go anywhere else! This holiday was amazing, me and my partner were happy to stay in the hotel! The pool is amazing and the hotel itself is very nice. This was honestly THE nicest, cleanest hotel i have ever been in. The staff were a little miserable, but in that heat i think i would be if i had to work. I would recomment this hotel to anyone, its in a quite area just opposite a gorgeous beach, taxis are so cheap into the centre of Ayia Napa but easy to reach if you fancy a walk! Brilliant holiday, amazing pool! I would go back in a heartbeat!

The hotel is perfect and the resort very nice.
We decided to spend our holidays in a relaxing and quite place. So we chose to go to Atlantica Aeneas hotel in Ayia Napa Cyprus.
It was our best holidays ever. I would rate the hotel and the resort in general as excellent.
On arrival the hotel gave us a free upgrade to a nice newly refurbished pool view room.
The pool looks amazing especially at night with the lighting effects. Also at check in we were given the chance to upgrade from H/B to All inclusive.
The food was nice and very tasty, I really enjoyed the themed nights the hotel offered but also the food during the Easter celebration. The stuff was friendly and helpful.
One featured I really liked was the Free Wi-Fi access in the bar and lobby. It was perfect for my since I had my laptop with me.
The gym was also very well equipped. The rooms were comfortable and nice decorated.
The hotel bar looks really nice. We really enjoyed our drink there.
Next year we will be visiting Aeneas hotel again!

Just returned from a one week stay at the Aeneas and will not be returning to this hotel. Was expecting a 5 star and ended up in a 3 star. This hotel does not deserve a 5 star rating.
First impressions on arrival were that the hotel was lovely and the pool is quite something. There are trees and little bridges all over the resort which do look very nice and the pool is massive with plenty of shallow ends which are perfect for kids although I did notice that the tiles in the pool were laid uneven which meant quite a few stubbed toes. They were also very slippery and seen quite a few children having a fall in the pool when walking into the water. In fact all floor surfaces throughout the resort were not designed to get wet which is a bit silly when they have such a large pool. On a positive note there is always a lounger available by the pool as there are hundreds.
Rooms are ok but nothing special. Pillows were like rocks and most double beds are two singles pushed together. Our room had a leaking toilet which we reported on the first day. Three phone calls and a visit to reception later I was told that the maintenance had already been and this had been repaired. Went straight to my room after this and maintenance had just arrived. After 10 or 15 minutes in the bathroom two maintenance men came out and advised that the problem had been rectified. An hour later the puddle in the bathroom was worse than it had been before. Made another call to reception and requested another room if they could not repair the problem, was told by reception that they would get back to me. Half an hour later reception called my room to advise that the porter was on his way up to show us another room and if we liked this we could move.
Porter took us to another room on the same floor which again was ok so we decided to move as we could not handle another day putting shoes on every time we went into the bathroom as the puddle got worse and worse. We were then left to move all our luggage to the other room ourselves and told by the porter that we would need to hand our keys for our first room back to reception in an hour as they would need to clean this for other guests arriving (some other poor soul was going to have to put up with this problem).
We were not too bothered about having to move our luggage ourselves but this is not common practice for a 5 star. Upon closer inspection of our new room we noticed that the balcony was covered in bird droppings, not just here and there, it was everywhere and the hotel clearly knew this as the balcony table and chairs for this room were kept inside. Made a call to reception to ask that they send a cleaner up to deal with this. Cleaner arrived and was not happy at having to do this although it should be done every day if it is a problem. It was not done every day and on our fifth day we had to ask for this do be done again although cleaner was happy to oblige this time. Towels were changed every day and bed made every day also although towels were a bit shabby and one ripped in half when being used. Most cleaners were very friendly although not very diligent. Any glasses used in our room sat there (still dirty) until our second last day. Fruit in bowls was never binned no matter how moldy they had gone. Felt like being back at home as we ended up doing most of the housework ourselves.
Food was terrible and had to guess what most things were as there was nothing to say. I am a vegetarian and there is not always a lot of choice but in this hotel there was no choice, even most of the salads had some sort of meat in them. Food was also very obviously re-used. If there was food left over from the night before it was put out for lunch the next day. My partner who is not a vegetarian and usually not too fussy when it comes to food also found the food terrible and very repetitive.
On a positive note the reps do a great job, especially Martin, Frieda and Naomi. They keep everyone amused (adults and children) throughout the day and there is usually a wee something on at night although the night time entertainment was only on for about two hours. Bar staff were also very friendly maybe this was to try and make up for the crazy prices they were charging for drink which was more than twice as much as some hotels in the centre of Ayia Napa.
The location of the hotel was good and was only a five minute walk to Nissi Beach which is gorgeous, soft sand and clear waters which are perfect for children. It is a small lagoon so the water is only about two feet deep and there are no waves so the water is always calm. If you like a quiet beach do not go in the afternoon as there is a DJ from a local club who plays every afternoon and it can get quite loud. Don't let this put you off though as the beach is lovely. Hotel is about a twenty minute walk from Ayia Napa square which is also very nice and there are no shortage of pubs and restaurants. Chihuahua Mexican restaurant is especially nice.
Will definitely be returning to Ayia Napa but will certainly not be staying at the Aeneas. Have stayed in 4 star hotels which are head and shoulders above the Aeneas in all aspects. We did not expect to be waited on hand and foot and we are certainly not fussy or stuck up but we felt very let down by the Aeneas. We were also not the only guests who felt this way. Everyone we spoke to said they would not come back to this hotel.
I visited this site before going to the Aeneas and thought is sounded very nice but believe me it is a hotel to be avoided. Do not waste your money on this hotel!

A lovely hotel with the biggest pool ever seen!
The rooms are huge, mine was on the second floor but overlooking the rental car park outside but didn’t put me off. The room had a double bed. Three seated settee, chair and two tables and still had plenty of space!
They have a large plasma TV which also plays DVDs, ideal when waiting for that coach to the airport. I would recommend this to you as it is a very good hotel, although a bit pricey if you are stopping B&B then eating there and paying for your evening meals. In Ayia Napa you can get the same food for half the price and a taxi is only 4 Cyprus pounds.
The beach is across the rood and is lovely once you miss the seaweed, but they do clean it out as best as they can. Do try the paragliding, it’s a brill experience! The sea is as clear as tap water, you can see your feet when the water is chest high!
The rooms have a mini bar(expensive) nice bathroom, you can call your kids whilst in the bath. The air con is very good throughout the hotel, all in all go here you will not be let down.
