What a wonderful holiday! The apartments themselves are just as they appear on any literature, which is fabulous! and the staff treat you like one of the family. On arrival at silly o'clock in the morning, we noticed a hamper which included fruit, water, WINE, bread, jam, tea, coffee etc - what a lovely touch! We have Izmet in charge of cleaning, Zolfu in charge of catering and Yasar in charge of everything else and they really are the loveliest, most hard-working people - to be honest, they made our holiday! Whatever they're paid, trust me, it's not enough.
Now for everything else:
Weather - 32 deg in the shade, so in the 40's every day - 'tastic!
Food and drink - in 14 days, we didn't have a bad dinner - can you believe that? Every restaurant will ask you to come and have a look at its menu, but once you say you're not interested/have already eaten etc., there's no hassle! In Turkey - can you believe it? Every meal was absolutely wonderful and the service impeccable - make sure you try out the Olive and its goat hotpot! If you're a wine drinker, be warned, it's not as cheap as you'd hope - in a supermarket it'd be about £7 for a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and that'd be about twice the price in a restaurant, so approximately what you'd pay here. A large Efes beer works out about £2 in a bar and it is money very well spent!
Things to do - we tried a couple of beach clubs, scuba diving (my eldest now wants to do it for a living), canoeing, mud bathing, went on a jeep safari and visited various markets, Xanthos, Protaras Beach (marvellous), Saklikent Gorge and loads of other great places, but one of the most brilliant days was a private boat trip with Captain Mussa - what a surreal and memorable day! At one point I decided to cool down in the sea, the kids were snorkelling, the husband was arm wrestling the Captain, Mack the Knife was playing on the loud speaker, our friends were dancing and suddenly the Captain appeared and started to throw me fresh figs - you don't get a day like that organised by a tour operator!
Overall - we thought Kalkan was beautiful in every way, but were told that it has expanded pretty quickly, so if you're interested in giving it a go, go soon!

Lovely apartments, well located to all amenities, spotless and well equipped. On our arrival we were greeted with a lovely hamper and fresh flowers left as a welcome gift in our apartment. The apartments are a short walk to the port and many welcoming restaurants and shops.
The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, and provided a great BBQ night, with excellent entertainment. I have never laughed so much watching the guests following Yasirs lead in the Turkish dance around the pool in the candlelight.
The pool has a small area for little ones under a watchful parental eye, and has the added bonus of having some shade, essential in the hottest part of the day. Strongly recommend Kalkan and Korsan for those wanting peace, relaxation and a warm welcome.

Have just returned from Turkey after a week (June 2007) at the Yeni Korsan apartments with my two teenage daughters. I cannot recommend these apartments highly enough!
Our apartment had a balcony with a fabulous view over the sea and surrounding mountains. The accommodation is the best we've stayed at in terms of comfort, cleanliness, situation (2 minutes walk to the town) but most of all we were made to feel really special.
The staff at the Yeni Korsan are the friendliest, most courteous and helpful we've met at a holiday resort. The apartment was kept immaculately clean during our stay with towels and linen changed twice during the week and light cleaning every day.
There is a snack bar at the apartment complex and drinks can be obtained at any time of the day until 11pm, just beside the pool. There is a second swimming pool on the roof terrace - also beautiful!
The town itself is so picturesque with a huge choice of excellent restaurants. Local transport is inexpensive and the Turkish people are very hospitable.
There are many opportunities to explore other areas through organised tours or hiring a car. The area has a wealth of historical sites, beautiful beaches and fabulous food.
Many thanks to Yasar, Izmet and his wife and Zulfu for making this such a special holiday for us. We hope to see you all again!

Have just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks in the Yeni Korsan Apartments. Located a short walk from what I'd call the town centre, the accommodation was excellent, and the staff were superb and very friendly giving a very intimate feel.
We were in one of the two lower apartments which had 'glimpes' of the sea whereas the 'penthouse' apartments are even more plush with full panoramic views over the town and the bay.
Highly recommended!

A lovely apartment block with helpful and friendly staff.
The rooms are exceptional and spacious with great views from the balconies and roof terraces. About 5 minutes walk to the town and marina with a bank ATM 2 minutes from your door.
The best food we have ever had in either Turkey or Greece, plenty of restaurants to choose from most with sea views. I highly recommend you stay here.

Yeni Korsan is next door to the Korsan Apartments and you have use of both Apartments facilities. The apartments are of a good size, reasonable size lounge with 2 sofas and dinning table, kitchenette with fridge, hob sink etc. bedroom and bathroom with a bath / shower.
We stayed on the first floor, the adjacent villas block the sea view but still pleasant. The higher floors should provide a sea view. The apartments are clean and run by very friendly staff who will ensure you are looked after.
The apartments have a poolside bar to front of the property and you have access to the adjoining Korsan apatments pool which is to the rear of the property and larger.
The poolside bar is good serving an excellant homemade lemonade with mint as well as refreshing Efas lager and snacks.
The location is great, quiet but only a very short walk from Kalkan centre. I have visited Kalkan on numerous occasions usually staying in a Villa, I can reccomend the Yeni Korsan if you are looking for clean basic accomodation close to the centre. here is their own website for booking http://www.korsankalkan.com
