This was our second visit to Eleni Village in 3 years and we were looking forward to it . Unlike the last comment we did not have anything left in our room to welcome us back and we seemed to be there at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately one of the reasons that we used first choice again was the kids entertainment but it was not obvious on the booking form that they no longer cover the Eleni Village ---- A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT -- as we had prepared our 6 year old for this! The food was pretty good although not much for children. There was more entertainment in the second week but most of the first week seemed geared towards the large Polish community. Mohamed was great, but his female assistant was pretty bland and it was obvious that she had her favourites amongst the children. We found the staff friendly and helpful as before. In the second week the sunbed and towels senario was unbelievable, as people started to leave their towels out the night before! Although there were many complaints the hotel did not want to get involved and by the time we left, we had witnessed several altercations over the subject between residents. We found the bus service good until 10.30 at night. I felt people were starting to moan about every little thing which I felt was unjustified. Although we were all inclusive, we dined out a few nights and found it really expensive, but it was too much to stay in the complex all the time. Given that there was no first choice kids club we will not be going back and I am not sure if it was worth the money but certainly cheaper to go all inclusive than eating out every night.

This was our second visit to The Eleni , we stayed here 2 years a go . We came back because we loved it so much . A lovely surprise was the welcome back note and the fresh fruit and bottled water awaiting us in our apartment .
The food was fantastic as ever . Chef certainly knows how to cook roast beef ..it melted in the mouth and tasted like Beef . [ unlike many English meals I've had !!!!! ] ., and the cod in mushroom sauce , which had been a hit with my daughter was equally as good as the first time - succulent and tender ..mmmmm.
The hotel staff as always; were friendly and helpful . First Choice no longer have the hotel exclusively so there are a real mix of nationalities there now ... but variety is the spice of life ! - makes for an interesting karaoke night ! lol.
We'll be returning again to the Eleni. It may be a few km's out of Pafos centre .but the buses are frequent during the day- a couple of euro's per journey and there's always a taxi . [ from 8-10 euros to /from Pafos centre /harbour ].
Very sad to be home in miserable , grey , and considerably colder ; England .

Went out of season in April when there was no entertainment for the kids. All entertainment was in Swedish for the swedish party of over 50s who were on holiday there. There were no baby change facilities in the hotel. The swimming pool is only accessable by steps, so we could only push the pram around the pool and couldnt push it anywhere else. There were steps everywhere so we ended up carrying the baby and the buggy. There were only about 4 or 5 empty restaurants near the hotel so we had to hire a car or taxi around the place to find some entertainment . There is a bus which goes to Paphos or coral bay or beyond , the last bus was at 7pm a fact no one seem to be aware of at the time. Really glad we didnt pay for all inclusive because we would have been really bored. Rooms were simple but clean. Ours was on the second floor, no lifts - had to carry pram etc - balcony was in shade most of the day and facing a house and a road, disappointing. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to people who need to use prams or who need wheel chair access, impossible for them to get anywhere. Hotel is too isolated. We found eating out expensive as Cyrpus is in the euro now and the pound is weak at the mo.

We have just returned from a lovely week at the Eleni Village.
Our room was clean and in a very good position, the maid service was excellent, the whole village was kept free of rubbish. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I am not usually a fan of the day time entertainment, but I must say that we enjoyed the French boules, the killer darts and the pool games so much.
We made lots of friends and laughed so much at the evening entertainment, Barbara and Muhumed were real gems, so good at getting the holiday makers to have fun. We enjoyed a good breakfast each day, we were greeted by a nice lady who remembered our room numbers as she booked us in, we had continental and English breakfast, plus some local specialities.
It’s very handy having a fridge and kettle in your room. We stocked up with some basics from the onsite shop and another shop just a few minutes down the road. We dined out at the Cavarelle, gorgeous food, very nice restaurant. There are a few nice eating places within walking distance, but we also visited the harbour by bus and taxi, we enjoyed a meal of fresh seafood.
The restaurant owners are quite pushy, as they try to get you to eat there. Just be assertive. We walked every morning along the sea front where there is a paved path that goes all the way to Coral Bay one side, and Paphos harbour the other side.
If there was one thing that I felt the Eleni could have improved on, it would be the fact that the beach/rocks directly below the hotel could be landscaped in the same way other hotels have done just down the coast, they had levelled the rocks and made a bay to swim in and had positioned sun beds on grass. Unfortunately there was some rubbish on the rocks and it did spoil the view slightly.
We would definitely visit again, it’s a family hotel, with an excellent pool, but as a couple you can find a sunbed away from the noise and look out to sea. The poolside bar serves excellent value food and drinks, and again they are very friendly. This hotel is well worth a visit.

Just returned from Eleni - my views are as follows:-
Evening meals well recommended.
Apartment very basic - but cleaners were there on a regular basis changing beds and towels.
Ideal for people with young children up to age of 12 - older children would be bored.
Staff were friendly.
Our dislikes on the Eleni:-
Not suitable for people of middle age.
Too noisy i.e. entertainment going on while 1am and more importantly too loud.
Location - very little around.
Not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Would not class this hotel as a 4* it is more 3*.

I came home yesterday from Eleni Village and to be honest I nearly cried. The hotel was absolutely amazing and had something to do for everyone.
My favorite part of the holiday was that all of the staff were very kind and caring. Barbara and Mohammad are the most fantastic people I have ever come across in my whole life. Barbara is very chatty and easy-going. I didn't really speak to Mohammad that often but when I did he was lovely.
I can't think of one bad thing about this holiday. Food was lovely and although some of the food in the restaurant on a night didn't satisfy me much, the 'Hector Pool Bar' had a good choice of food to chose from at any time of the day. I have to mention that George, the Hector Pool Barman was very friendly and good with the kids. You will never meet a more friendly and loving person than Anna, one of the waitresses who always talked to us when we were in the bar. She loved to talk to the kids and cuddle them which I admire of her.
I would LOVE to go back to Eleni, it would be my first choice if I had to pick a holiday for next year. I really, really hope that I get to go again and I can't thank everyone enough for making our Holiday the best I’ve ever had.
I would recommend this holiday to anyone, especially if you have children. Thank you so much x

What can I say about the Eleni. It is true that Mohammed and Barbara did make the holiday and they will need someone very good to replace her next season as I think Mohammed will stay.
If your going in September take loads of money especially if your young because the night entertainment is not that great and gets boring and you will need to go to Paphos to get some entertainment.
The weather was excellent 30 degrees and they said it was not normally like that. The breakfast was nothing special all the normal stuff; English breakfast, fruit and cereal, and the eggs were awful I don’t think they where cooked in oil more like salt. Dinner time was the best because it was made fresh and it came nice and hot. Tea time was the same every night it was not that nice and being all inclusive did get on your nerves. The descriptions of the food did not taste like it said.
Don’t go all inclusive because everything that was free was watered down it was good getting home and having a decent pint. I also drink brandy and there I could have drunk 3 bottles and been sober I think it was brandy flavoring.
All in all the staff were great we had a laugh with them but they were very tired and you can tell because some time they got snappy. They did serve you as soon has they could though. I would go back but not in September it was too quiet and not a lot of young people.

We are two carers from who work with Adults With Learning Difficulties who accompanied us on this once in a lifetime holiday. We had an absolutely fantastic time-not sure about them tho-the weather was gorgeous and we both came back with lovely tans even though one of us is black! The food was especially nice-in particular the chocolate bars and crisps from the newsagents that our clients paid for! Thanks for the magazines and newspapers aswell lads! You never get bored at Eleni Village, if the crappy swimming pool is not for you or the low rate "entertainment" is not up your street then you can always play knock out ginger on the people next door! We did it on our clients and it gave us endless laughs thinking about then having to get off their fat backsides in the sweltering heat to answer the door to nobody! Good times!

Just arrived home after a 1 week’s holiday at Eleni village I didn’t want to come home.
The rooms were great entertainment fantastic and food lovely. The complex was lovely and clean and the whole family enjoyed it. There was 14 of us all together 4 were young children who loved the holiday as well.
The pool was great with a smaller pool for the young children. Fantastic views of the sea and only a short taxi drive into Paphos if you wanted to do a bit of sopping but the complex is that great you don’t need to go anywhere else.
The entertainment was great at night and throughout the day Muhammed and Babs work really hard to ensure you have a good holiday. Bar snacks during the day were fantastic plenty of choice for adults and children.
Plenty of choice with first choice to go on excursions I would suggest everyone visits the water park it’s a fantastic day out for all ages. I would most definitely go here again and would highly recommend it to everyone I know.
Muhammed and Babs are huge assets to this complex and their hard work ensured our holiday was well worth it!

My husband and I took our two children 13 and 8 here for 1 week all inclusive.
We had serious withdrawal symptoms on our return. AB FAB holiday. The weather was great. The entertainment staff were great - Barbara certainly had her work cut out putting up with my husbands banter!
We met some great people. Location was not ideal for us although it did not take much time to get on a bus. Coral Bay was a must for the beach... Would definitely return again.

Just returned from 2 great weeks at Eleni Village. Was last minute booking so not sure quite what to expect, but totally exceeded expectations!!
Mohammed & Barbara (on site entertainment) were excellent and I can honestly say that they made our holiday (I went with a friend and her 2 sons of 11 and 13).
From the first day, they made us feel like part of the Eleni family - the water polo (a bit feisty when England v Greece!), Killer Darts, Killer Pool, bingo (Mohammed is our number une!) silly dances, fire show (excellent) karaoke (not so excellent on my part!).
They say that the people you meet on holiday are what make it and I can honestly say that was true about this holiday.
The weather was absolutely scorching (should expect that in August I guess) but we got used to it after a couple of days of sitting in the pool to cool off!
Would definitely recommend this resort to others, especially those with children and we are hoping to go back again next year!

Just returned from 2 week S/C in the Eleni. 14 days of blistering heat! Studio room was quite spacious & clean, bedding changed every other day which you don't get in many other places!
The highlight was the entertainment - Mohamed & Barbara are both great fun, the kids loved them. Day time sports highlight was water polo, although Greece Vs UK was feisty and nearly became WW3! Fire show was spectacular.
Other evening’s entertainment disappointing. Bar staff cheerful but overworked.
Pool good size, with separate small pool for volleyball. Grassy area to front of Pool Bar had great views over the Med.
Don’t expect luxury, but overall 9/10 is well deserved as it is the people that it make this holiday.
