" On site supermarket very expensive,... "

On site supermarket very expensive, and due to arrival time had to use it, but found cheap supermarket 2k away same prices as Asda. Can’t comment on food as never ate there, cant comment on entertainment due to having two young kids so bed time was early, rooms very clean as maids in 6 days out of seven and cleaned very well, don’t use in house telephones you may get a big surprise when checking out, swimming pools and amenities very good plenty for young kids to do pool table video games, indoor pool a very good bonus and heated too, only draw back we were in room 1902, view out of window was the underground car park, cars regularly heard leaving 06.30 onwards, also workmen’s booth at back of car park heard them quite a lot doing their maintenance.

The Chinese restaurant behind the Church up at traffic lights crap, asked for chicken got pork garbage but Italian pizza restaurant excellent.

" The apartment room was full of ants... "

The apartment room was full of ants and other bugs crawling around the fridge and beds. The towels and sheets were badly stained and soiled. I complained to reception staff but no action was taken we bought and used our own.

The food provided was plain with no taste to it and on most nights covered in flies. we were sat every night beside other guests which was very awkward.

I took along on holiday my wife and son. three day’s into the holiday my son complained that the entertainer was following him around after talking to other holiday makers I found out he was gay and took a shine to my son and other boys within the complex. He did back off when I confronted him in the gents.......

I will never return to Cyprus.

" We had a lovely time at the village... "

We had a lovely time at the village though the entertainment in the evening left much to be desired, this though didn’t spoil our holiday as we taxi'd into Paphos town most evenings anyway and we realise that it was early season.

The accommodation in itself was very clean with regular visits from the maids and the staff were friendly. The pools were kept clean and both were a decent size. Daytime entertainment was good for those who wanted to partake.

The hotel is in-between the resorts of Paphos town and Coral bay but is only a short bus/taxi ride away from both and travel costs were cheap. An ideal location for those who want a relaxing holiday with the choice of travelling into a more hustle bustle atmosphere.

All in all a very pleasant holiday and we would definitely return there.

" Absolutely amazing! The staff are... "

Absolutely amazing! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the pool area is spacious and you don’t have to get up at 6 in the morning to save a sun bed!
The food was ok, but not perfect, some days amazing other totally rubbish. Kids club was entertaining for the kids loved it and the entertainment at night was good but they repeated it weekly. Day entertainment was perfect, especially the water polo, that was a right laugh!
If you want a good lively holiday I recommend here, especially if you have kids!!
" We had a great apartment, away from... "

We had a great apartment, away from the main block with a balcony view of the sea. Our unit was really nice, separate bedroom, not fancy but good quality furniture, nice and clean, I would be happy to stay there again.
There is a local shop, and one in the Apartments. 10 min bus to Paphos. Local beach nothing great.
General location is all pretty much Tourist build, and a new church. I would recommend car hire to get about to see things.

" Studio rooms, spacious, but not... "

Studio rooms, spacious, but not particularly well cleaned. There were ants, even so early in the season, fridge was iced up, bed linen had seen better days, and the state of the towels were appalling, ours had large holes. The water leaked into the bathroom from the shower because the showerhead would not keep straight. Furniture was of good quality.

Our choice of the Eleni Holiday Village Apartments proved to be a convenient location for purpose of our visit to Cyprus, which was to be accommodated as we were looking for property to buy and our chosen estate agent was just down the road.

The staff tried hard, but even if we return this year to Cyprus we would not choose to locate ourselves there. We reported to the First Choice rep the fact that at one breakfast we found the whole of the sliced bread basket to be covered in green mould. I know our visit coincided with a national May Day bank holiday, but that bread must have been mouldy for far more than a week if not more. It was quite awful. My husband told the waitress, who only removed the top portion of the loaf, he asked her to remove it all, and replace with fresh. This was done, but no one seemed to appreciate why we had said this. The headwaiter seemed offended when my husband told him as well, and said he always checked the bread regularly himself.

We were out all day, and didn’t use the facilities. However people whom we spoke with seemed unhappy that there were no shower, bath mats, to use the facilities you had to ask for a key, and the food was thought to be bland. I would only rate this establishment as a 2 star. No more. We just used it as our base, and were quite glad we were out all day, just returning to sleep and eat in on the occasions we did.

" Me, my wife and two sons (9yrs and... "

Me, my wife and two sons (9yrs and 11yrs) were very impressed with Paphos and the holiday village. The accommodation was a little remote but the bus service is very reliable and only 60p to travel any where in Paphos. The village had every thing to cater for an enjoyable family holiday. The food was excellent and the great choice meant we never had to go out to eat. The night time entertainment was very good and the friendly atmosphere from both staff and guests made our fortnights stay in Paphos a very enjoyable time for all the family.
