My wife and I stayed here from May 7th 2008 for a week with the intention of a week's rest. That is exactly what we got. The best rooms I would say were 345 upto 351, 3rd floor, overlooking the pool, big balcony and nobody overlooking you. Room 348 stayed fairly cool at night and had a big fan, no aircon though. Big rooms seperate bedroom good living space area and bathroom. The kitchen was good too, all the bits including microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, cooker and hood. Never used any of it as we ate out.
Everything is on your doorstep, Chinese, Indian, Steakhouse, Italian, English, Scottish!
Bars and late entertainment if you want it too, but you can't hear it, which is handy if you fancy an early night.
I think the latest bar in resort closed at 3am called Pierros, or something.
The Caleta Garden is a warm, friendly place with keen staff, very good standard of cleanliness. Good food, entertainment and 2 happy hours if you need a beer!
Can get very hot and the sometimes brisk wind makes you feel too comfortable. BUT you will burn to a crisp if you don't use high factor creams. 30 degrees C in the shade, lovely! Altogether relaxing and enjoyable, would go back. Resort of Caleta de Fuste is not for clubbers. Enjoy!

the good points :
we stayed at the Caleta Gardens for 1 week in the middle of april 2008, they are very clean, we were right by the pool not very private as people do sunbathe outside your apartment, but do go up on the rooftop sunbathing as its adults only and no children running around ..lots of privacy up there also a jacuzzi too, the weather was very nice, sunny all the time .. sometimes got too Hot but the breeze keeps it bearable, we got a tan on the 1st day we got there !, if you have kids they will love it here, with entertainment for them too, shows and competitions, pool football etc, there is a happy hour here twice a day .. but go next door to the Havana bar its happy hour from 12noon til 9pm (3 euros for 2 drinks), a few mins walk to the beach.. it is man made, its ok but do explore a little further .. walk to the other end of the beach and theres 2 real very clean sandy beaches there with real sand without chippings, also theres a propper supermarket (also a free bus there and back to your apartment), the prices here are very good and affordable not like 'netto's' opposite caleta gardens they are very expensive its cheaper to eat out than go there (example PG tips tea bags with 98p written on the box their price nearly 3 euros wow) take your own we did. do look down by the coast which is in walking distance keep an eye out for the chipmunks running in and out of the rocks, you can feed them by hand as they are friendly, 1 week seems to be enough to stay here as theres not lots to do, if your an earoplane spotter your on the flight path .. they fly over quite low enough to read the names on them but not noisy tho, ..camels on the beach also (poor things all tied up not too run away) , we ate out at ' The Dome ' very affordable prices and a good view all around from the balcony as your elavated from the pavements, also theres sea trips down on the beach with paddle boats too, also on saturdays there is an african street market there .. don't be afraid to haggle.
The Bad Points :
We did not see a Thomson Rep from the day we arrived at the Airport until the day we were collected to go home a week later . We felt like we had been dumped in a country that we had never visited before with no support whatsoever, Thomson left a poster on the wall at reception calling this " The modern Way " , ... if you want excursions or help theres a phone number there for you to call ... at your own cost back to the UK .. terrible ! (we will be going with a different holiday company next time ). you must walk dragging your suitcases from the airport to the bus which is about 1/4 mile it is like a building site there as they are extending the airport, ... important : watch out for the scratch card scam (they nearly caught us out) .. look here : ---> http://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6766&highlight

Just recently returned from having a wonderful chilled out holiday in Caleta Gardens Apartments. If your looking for a friendly family orientated place to stay this is the place for you. The staff are very friendly, helpful and entertaining. There is always activities taking place for the children and plenty of entertainment for adults at night.
The rooms are fairly spacious and very clean. It is central to all local amenities....supermarket across the road and loads of fabulous eating places but what i would highly recommend is the steak house FADO ROCK superb food and fantastic service. The beach isn't too far away but if you fancy a nice walk along the sea front to the harbour it would take approx 25 mins just strolling along.
This was our 2nd time to stay here and have intentions of returning in June.
There is also a laundry service on the premises and TV / telephone facillities which are well worth the money.
A big thankyou to all the staff at Caleta Gardens !!!

Booked the holiday fairly late, so did not know quite what to expect. The apartments are fairly basic, but who stays in their room when on holiday. Especially as the weather was very warm, when compared to January back home. However, everthing else about the hotel was very good. Even though it is on one of the main streets, it is quiet at night. The reception staff were good, Gemma who ran the entertainment for the first week was excellent, as was the regular host, Tony, who returned for our second week.
Aziz and Mac who ran the bar through the day and night were absolutely fantastic, hard working and very funny.
We spent very little time around the hotel during the day, but the pool area appeared popular and busy.
The hotel is very central for shops, banks, supermarkets, bars and retaurants. The last two we tried as many as we could, but still did not get round them all and could not complain about any of them.
The resort itself is quiet and more laid back than other places in The Canaries and it is small. There is a good beach and the sunbeds and umbrellas are about 9 euros for 2 beds and 1 umbrella. We still had one of our most relaxing and enjoyable holidays.
All in all a very good holiday was had and we will definitely return sometime soon.

We returned yesterday from the Caleta Gardens. The airport transfer only took 10-15mins. The apartment we stayed in had just been refurbished, with a new kitchen, bathroom and furniture. Everything looked really good. Patio doors also had a lock on them so no security issues. The room photos on the travel websites are now out of date. They seem to have completed most of the rooms, but are still refurbishing one or two of the rooms, and probably will be for the next couple of months. There was a little bit of noise during the day from the work but not before 10am and not after 6pm, so didn’t cause any problems. Pool is unheated so was a bit cold at this time of year. It is also quite deep for young children. The shallow end started at 1.5m and the deep end was more like 1.8m. All the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Tony did a great job with the kids (look out for the fast version of “King Caractacus”). Everything was really close by. There is a Netto supermarket just over the road. The Chinese (New Slow Boat just over the road) banquet takeaway for 2 for €17.30 fed all 5 of us really well! There is a bit of noise from the aircraft on the landing approach to the airport (at least they are quieter landing than taking off as the wind is predominantly from the North) but not bothersome. Otherwise, it was a really quiet and peaceful holiday. You could struggle for things to do if you get bored quickly, but we loved it.

the bad comments are a load of rubbish! i dont no why people are saying the caleta gardens are dirty; the rooms are cleaned almost every day and it is really clean!
the entertainment is awsome and i dont have a single bad word to say about it.
there are 2 jaccuzies and a quiet sunbaving area for the adults on the roof of the hotel if you want a bit of 'you' time. And there are activities during the daytime for all ages so its cool - there is a happy hour at 3pm-4pm, and i think 8pm-9pm where you get 2 drinks for the price of one. the bar staff especually are really friendly. they also have a film on of your choice everyday at 4pm - mostly for the kids; but i think it is good for everyone. and the entertainer, tony, was awsome. There are also shows every night...
parrot show, singers, game show, owls and eagles, snakes, and all sorts of things. and they have a security guard on site at night time. you can really feel safe there!
i've been going there every single year for 8 years now for a couple of weeks each and it is awsome - the only bad thing about it, is you have to leave at the end of the holiday :( lol

Hubby said if he knew how much I paid for the room he would've stayed home - and missed a great holiday! We had a one bed-roomed apartment, with the kids sleeping in there and us sleeping in the living area. The one downside was the pull-out bed wasn't comfortable at all, but we didn't go on holiday to sleep! We were on the 3rd floor, and sometimes the lift didn't work.
We originally booked self-catering, but the half board deal was good - €90 adults, €45 children - so we did that. Food as ok, at least it was edible, unlike some other meals we had.
The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the photos, and you have to reserve your sunbeds at 8.30am otherwise you were in the cold part. Some were broken, but what did you expect? However, we spent most of our days on the beach, which was amazingly hot and peaceful.
The staff at the Caleta Gardens were great....apart from one sour-faced receptionist. Entertainment was ok, and with a Netto right across the road it was easy to get snacks.
All in all, for the price we paid it was good. I'd recommend it to anyone.

i've read the reviews and disagree with some of them(bad ones). it was my 5th time going to the island and i have to admit i really enjoyed myself. i went with my mum and we bothed said as soon as we got there we'll have to stay here again. and that wasn't even the start of it staff made us feel welcome and were there to help whenever needed. entertainment wise was well fun had something to do all day thanks to tony who really excels at his job. the apartment was basic but comfortable and clean. we ended up going to the beach for 3days but made sure we were back for happy hour 3-4 and killer darts. if you get the chance to go here i really recomend it you wont regret it!!!

Went to Caleta Gardens in October of last year. We booked this hotel as a last minute holiday. The apartments looked really nice in the brochure and the description sounded good.
When we arrived at the apartments the staff were very helpful and the check in was fairly quick. When we got to our room we were very dissapointed as it had two small single beds a very small kitchen and a small living area.
About two days into our holiday we realised that the patio doors of the apartment were broken and they needed fixing. The room was that hot it was very uncomfortable to get to sleep at night, and the only relief that we had was from a fan that we kept on constantly. The decor was not very modern and could most definately do with a refurbishment. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet kept leaking. The maid service was very good as they cleaned and made the beds every day. The pool area was very small and did not have much sunlight. We went to the beach every single day and did not use the pool once during our stay!
We have been to Fuerteventura three times now and love the place but unfortunately this is the worst accomodation that we have stayed in!

we have just returned from a 2 week break at caleta gardens.the apartments are basic but clean. they get cleaned neally everyday.we had no problems with the hotel.the pool area is cleaned everyday the maintance guys are spot on with there jobs, they start to clean the pool from around 8. the staff at the hotel at really helpfull. the bar on the afternoon has a film on for the kids which is good as this gives them time to chill out a little and get some shade away from the sun...the bar has 2 happy hours 1 afternoon and 1 early evening...truthfully though we never used the pub on the evening...we always went out for our evening meal in caleta..
the down side of caleta gardens is the pool, not very good for young children there childrens pool is only small and putting 3 children in it is like over crowding a bath...after 2 steps in the big pool the water becomes up to your chest and stays that deep untill the middle and then it becomes deeper...on the whole though the kids enjoyed it loads.....caleta is a beautifull island myself and my family have been there twice in the last 7 months...i always feel safe when i am there never falt threatened at all.
never always believe what you read,,,i went away with my husband and 4 young children and believe me i wouldnt let my children sleep somewhere what i thought was dirty or badly conditioned..maybe we just caught lucky...lol..on the brighter side our apartments were over looking the pool which was nice.
if you want any further information about caleta gardens or any pictures please feel free to email me i will be more than happy to help you.....l.
for you guys who have already booked to go to caleta gardens have a brilliant time and believe me once you are there you will nevere want to leave the beautifull island
