Hotel & Spa JM Santa Pola Reviews
" I was absolutely delighted with this... "
Submitted By: Mrs Y Stewart
I was absolutely delighted with this hotel. It offers business class facilities and accommodation and yet manages to be welcoming and friendly.
The room was large and well furnished with minibar and comfortable beds. The ensuite was similarly large and immaculately clean.
The hotel was always fresh and smelled of lemon. The indoor and outdoor pools were very good and there was a full range of spa treatments available. Food was very good value - and it was tasty and there was plenty of it.
The staff were a pleasure to deal with - very friendly and helpful - they couldn't do enough!
They were particularly good to my daughter and appreciated attempts to communicate in Spanish.
I have read reviews on this hotel in other sites like travel republic and been angered by the typical English arrogance which assumes that all hotels should cater for the English - should speak English and should serve English food - if that's what you are looking for then don't use this hotel!
It is a lovely place to stay - and frequented by the local residents for weddings etc. When I stayed the other residents were mainly Spanish businessmen or holidaymakers.
On my last night there was a funny Englishman getting hot under the collar because the waitress couldn't understand his 'English' (neither could I!) ... that was the only 'fly in the ointment'!
You will need to hire a car due to the location of the hotel - it's on the busy N332 road (main route through the Costa Blanca) - though it IS possible to walk into Santa Pola (which incidentally is a much more pleasant and small Spanish working town with beautiful beaches - than the much bigger and touristy benidorm - which is approx 60km away).
I will be using the hotel again! Next time my Spanish will be better - I have a few months to practice!

" Spent 3 nights mid December and all... "
Submitted By: Mr B Crook
Spent 3 nights mid December and all round pleased with the hotel with the only downside being the restaurant.
We stayed bed and breakfast and the food and drink was simply stone cold, a microwave oven was at hand for warming them up but this only told you it was going to be cold tomorrow and it was.
Paid extra for one evening meal but this too was very disappointing and neither of us finished it.
Improve on the food and this would be a excellent hotel.
Would certainly go back but room only which is a shame.
