We have visited Skopelos 7 times in the last 11 years so can certainly recommend both the island and the Skopelos Village apartments. The rooms are spotless (they are cleaned daily & bedding changed every other day). Most come with a sea view and the ones that don't come... more

Perfect stay
I have visited skopelos island many times but for the first time I stayed to the hotel "Skopelos Village". What can I say? Fantastic!!! Spacy, very nice decorated rooms, recently renovated and the best view to the Hora of Skopelos . Location perfect, 5 minutes walking distance. I will go again ! Tas36Athens
As charming and lovely as always
This was our fifth stay at Skopelos Village for the last few years, and the reason we are going back time after time, is that we really love the place. It is so charming, clean, tidy, with lot of space, and the view to Skopelos City just has to be experienced. I never get tired of resting my eyes at it. The flats are spacey , charming and very Greek. The housekeepers are doing a great job cleaning them everyday. It is nothing luxury, but so cute. This year we had the executive suite, with two sleeping rooms and two bathrooms. Lovely when traveling with teenagers The place is "pricy", and so is the prices at the restaurant there. But still we cannot think of anything better. The nearest beach, Stafilos, is about 4 kilometers away, so this place is definitely nothing for people that want the beach at the hotel. We most often hire a car or a scooter, but we also walk a lot. There are good walking maps available. It is also nice to run in the area though it is quite steep. The food is lovely, and we specially recommend these restaurants: Alexander, Annas, Finikas, The Orchard, the Pomegranate (but the greek word for it) And a lovely, lovely restaurant at the top of the hill in Glossa
Magical
The island is magnificent any place you look you can see trees and forests. The hotel is located near the main village. The view is magical you can see the entire village from your balcony. Especially under the night lights it is something you must see. The service is very good and so are the rooms. There are 2 swimming pools in the hotel that are really comfortable otherwise you can go to nearby beaches but you will need a car for that. Generally it is a romantic place for families and couples where we had a great time and i am sure you will too.
Best stay ever!
Best Hotel, Best Location, Excellent Service and staff, Fantastic View! Truly suggested. We had the best time ever!
I wouldn't change it for the world!!
It is the most ideal spot of the island..you wouldn't be able to find a treasure like this one, even if you tried your best!! Accommodation and the surroundings 10/10, service and hospitality 10/10, access and comfortableness 10/10..what else should it matter during vacations? just loved the place!
ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT ACCOMMODATION !!!
The hotel is perfect, really flawless!! With great views, excellent service, lovely staff, perfect gardens, perfect pools!! The restaurant is great as well, very nice food and a really breathtaking view. And don't forget the lovely welcome treat we found at our room. I will definitely go back!!!
Skopelos Village Hotel is stunning
We decided to go to Skopelos last minute and using traveladvisor website, we decided to stay at Skopelos Village Hotel. We arrived on the last ferry and as we were unable to find a ferry we walked to the hotel. It took 15 minuted but was a lovely warm evening. We were very pleasantly surprised when we were shown in to our room. It was a beautiful maisonette that overlooked one of the three swimming pools. We hired a jeep from Avis and spent our days exploring the Island. What a treat. It is SUCH a beautiful place. One day it rained from 5 in the morning until midnight and we were unable to leave the room except to walk (run) across to the restaurant where we had delicious food. This was the only place where we had a delicious meal. Greek food is quite uninspiring, but at the Skopelos Village restaurant the food was very good and not too expensive. The place was immaculat, the staff were very helpful and charming and the place was immaculate. We are going again in 2009.
Highly recommended for the discerning self caterer
Stayed here in an apartment ( sleeps 2-4) in August 2008. Excellent accomodation .Scrupulously clean. Daily maid service. 2 pools. One for the kids and a quieter shaded area for us oldies ! Apartments are spacious with separate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas.TV hairdryer cooking facilities. 1 ( rather expensive restuaraunt on site ) . Breakfast was 10 euros but all you could eat.Ok if you have a huge morning appetite. They also do dinner at a price but it is quite upmarket.! Situated in a quieter end of Skopelos town but within easy walking distance of the centre. During the daytime the harbour area was OK but at night it was absolutely manic !! You can eat & drink until 1-2 am in the morning so dont worry if you are arriving on the late ferry as we did. (22.30 ). Have a walk around some of the side streets. We found a taverna called the owl where the food is home-cooked and delicious. ( well as far as greek food goes anyway). The most economical drinks were the home made white or red wine.. 500mls for 2.80 euros or 200mls of ouzo for 6 euros..add some water or lemonade ( 1.50 euros a bottle) and you are away ! Now, the downside. Hence my rating. The allegedly pedestrianised area at the harbour did not seem to apply to mopeds. ! The travel arrangements with Olympic were tenuous to say the very least ! We just about made the last ferry across from Skiathos. The return arrangements were even tougher. The flying cat 6 was taken out of service on the day of our return. So, our 13.00 pick up was changed to 0950am with an hours coach journey to Glossa.Ferried to Skiathos arriving at 12.00. The flight home was at 2040 so a rather long day hanging around skiathos. The flight was delayed by one hour so we arrived back in Manchester at 2315 pm. ( 2 hour time difference would have made it 0115 am in Greece). So from 0950 to 0015 is an awful long time from Skiathos to Manchester !! It could have been worse...the week before the Olympic travellers had to leave at 0700am for the same 2040 flight home ! Overall if I had to go to Skopelos again I would choose the same accomodation without a doubt. If you want a quiet relaxing time..skopelos is NOT the place to go in August. However, it has a certain charm, that, with a bit of exploring the back lanes, quickly grows on the traveller who is prepared to climb up some pretty long inclines . I hope this review is useful. xxxx
Not such good as they tell you
Just before 2 weeks i returned from skopelos village,in skopelos. When i called them to book a room via telephone they told me that all single rooms for two people staying were booked, and only suites were available.I said ok and booked the room(junior suite) which cost me not cheap in order to stay these days for my vacations.I deal with them also that the room would have sight seeing to the sea and told me "of course sir".(at this point i want to tell also that except 4 rooms in front which are junior suites again, none of them see at the sea!!!) Finally when i arrived there, the room was nice but not sight seeing to the sea and the other problems were that, the room was over the pool which made me mad from the noise, and the problem with ants.A couple of times we couldn´t leave nothing in the table according to this problem.Soon i will attach photos with the room and view from my balcony(with view to the sea....)and the ants. So,i believe that i made a bad choice of choosing this hotel, according to its money. If i could had the time i would choose other hotel, and believe me, there were much more better that this guys.
Excellent Apartments
We have just got back from the Skopelos Village apartments. You really cannot fault these them. All very tastful in very very pretty surroundings. Ask for a ground floor one as then you get a little bit of garden and not just a small balcony. Have a look at their web site as basically these pictures show it exactly like it is. We flew with Olympic Airways but decided to book the apartments separately because it was much cheaper to do it like this. We wanted to have a one bedroom apartment with separate living room and kitchen, If you booked this as a package with Olympic they made you pay an under occupancy supplement as basically these apartment would sleep 4 but we were only 2. for a one bedroom apartment we paid 80 Euros per night. The pool is quite small but very pretty. It does not have sun loungers around it but sort of low slug deck chairs - this didn't bother us as we liked to travel to a different beach every day. The apartments are within easy walking distance of the town which is essential when staying on Skopy as you really need to be near the town for the evenings. On Skopy you definitely need a moped to get to the best beaches as the town beach is not really one that folks hang out on - I really don’t know why the skopians don’t make it nicer as the sea is perfectly ok to swim in. In fact it is fine to just jump in the sea straight out side the hotel for your final dip of the evening. Go to Discovery to rent your bike just down the road from the hotel - they are really helpful - 8 Euros a day for one week.
