We as a couple enjoyed our holiday here very much. Although the owners could not speak any English they made us most welcome.
The villa was very clean and the pool was very clean.
We did find though that there was no shelter around the pool, but we neglected to ask if they could provide us with parasols.
And the pool had to be accessed by the back door every time so don’t forget your key otherwise your locked out.
We needed a car. But we really enjoyed the ride to and from the villa as the scenery up there is breathtaking. We would love to go again and stay here given the opportunity.

If they called it another "upper apartment" - like the pair down the hill are lower & upper, fair enough.
Calling it a "villa" is disingenuous at best.
If you think you are getting peace and quiet, by choosing the villa over the apartments, you will be disappointed. The owners, while no doubt not as noisy as some Brits on holiday, are still only human - and hearing the toilet flush at 3am UNDERNEATH YOU, or chairs scraping on a marble floor at 11pm when you are trying to sleep, or their early morning ablutions at 7am, is less than ideal.
The other upper apartment down the hill has an en-suite and better sea views, so if you don't mind other people underneath you, you'd be better picking that one, and saving £300 or so...
Skiathos was nice. Nearby restaurants nice. Pool nice. Sleep less than forthcoming...a shame.
